Abstract: A marketing campaign collects data for page counts, sessions, orders, and revenue. Four kinds of campaigns are addressed: direct, deferred, site link tracking, and deferred site link tracking. A particular page visit in an end-user session “qualifies” for a campaign if it satisfies the configured conditions for the campaign; that is, if the target universal resource locator (URL) of the page is the landing page of the campaign, the referrer URL is the referrer page of the campaign, or the page tag contains the configured string for the campaign. The data is processed through a set of heuristics identified by marketing experts as the most likely paths to a sale, and exclusivity is assigned to the type of campaign with the highest priority.

A database is provided for collecting and storing personal interest information from two or more players. A bonus server operates in conjunction with the gaming server to determine when a bonus is to be awarded to one or more players. A player qualifies for a share of the bonus based on the common personal interest information as compared to the player that triggered the bonus award. The bonus may be shared equally or unequally by players who qualify to receive the bonus.

The reaction can be rendered enantioselective when a chiral pyrrolidine catalyst is used, allowing for Michael adducts in nearly optically pure form (e.g., 96-99% e.e.). The Michael adducts can bear a single substituent or dual substituents adjacent to the carbonyl. The Michael adducts can be efficiently converted to protected ?2-amino acids, which are essential for systematic conformational studies of ?-peptide foldamers.

Abstract: A service-oriented bus for distributed gaming systems allowing gaming machines, servers, workstations, mobile PCs, handheld devices and automatic telling machines to talk together over a network. The game service bus provides a publish-and-subscribe message bus over a private network within a gaming property and/or over the public Internet across several properties. The service bus framework allows participating communicating end points to publish services or subscribe to services in a simple and standardized high level fashion, thereby enabling the devices to understand one-another, thus “talk” together. The “talking together” paradigm is rather appropriate, as it emphasizes the value that the service bus brings to a complex distributed casino gaming system that may include thousands of devices manufactured by dozens of vendors. Gaming machines may talk together in a peer-fashion over the service bus, which is well suited for multiplayer gaming.
