  • Patent number: 7924657
Abstract: A cyclical or non-linear time management system and method of managing time, and a time and time management teaching system and method of teaching time and time management is disclosed. The system relates a user's schedule to an actual or imagined clock face to give the user a better perspective and understanding of the flow of events and tasks in the day, and relates intuitive concepts such as the transit of the sun to both the clock and the user's schedule. • Patent number: 7904977
Abstract: The safety sheet of the present invention may include a bed sheet with sleeves along one or more sides. The sleeves may be continuous or slotted and may accommodate inserts constructed of a material soft enough to avoid injury yet sturdy enough to provide an effective barrier to lateral motion of a bed's occupant. The safety sheet may include solid or hollow inserts. Portability of the safety sheet may be maximized by the use of inflatable/deflatable inserts. Inserts may vary in size and shape, and the sleeves may vary in size to accommodate a range of insert sizes. Alternatively, the sleeves may be stuffed with soft materials such as socks or other clothing when inserts are unavailable. The safety sheet may be reversed with inserts in place for aesthetic and comfort purposes or without inserts to hide the sleeves when inserts are no longer needed.

  • Patent number: 7831250
Abstract: An approach to integrate a wireless data network canopy into the high-capacity fixed FttX (Fiber-to-the-Premises/Curb/Neighborhood) network at intersection points throughout the overlay rather than interconnecting them as two disparate networks in order to provide a plurality of data containing video, audio, voice communications, broadcast radio programming, and data both fixed and mobile. This approach is applicable to active networks. Considerations must still be made for security.

  • Patent number: 7779855
Abstract: The technology described herein provides systems and methods for rainwater collection, irrigation, and water conservation. This technology is ideal for use when municipal water reservoirs are low and outdoor watering is restricted or altogether banned. The system includes a water holding reservoir mounted vertically and inconspicuously adjacent to a dwelling, a reservoir connector fluidly connecting the water holding reservoir to a gutter to receive rainwater, a water level indicator and volumetric scale, a water spigot for a garden hose, and a cleanout drain. In an alternative embodiment, the system includes a plurality of adjacent water holding reservoirs each being filled by a single reservoir connector fluidly connected to and located between each of the plurality of water holding reservoirs and the gutter, to provide rainwater to each of the plurality of water holding reservoirs from a single point in the gutter.

  • Patent number: 7623858
Abstract: An approach to integrate a wireless data network blanket into the high-capacity fixed FttX (Fiber-to-the-Premises/Curb/Neighborhood) network at intersection points throughout the overlay rather than interconnecting them as two disparate networks in order to provide a plurality of data containing video, audio, voice communications, broadcast radio programming, and data both fixed and mobile. This approach is applicable to PON (Passive Optical Networks) and active networks alike, though the implementations vary slightly. Considerations must still be made for security.

  • Patent number: 7479074
Abstract: Apparatus and method for a batting tee which provides an effective and useful device for improving a user's baseball swing. The present invention comprises a portable regulation size home plate which has a swinging arm member rotatably attached thereto which member has a first and second upright-standing batting tee thereon which are each adjustable in height. The rotatable member is attached to the home plate by means of a fastener which allows the member to swing 360 degrees around the home plate in the horizontal plane. The particular placement of the batting tees about the home plate allows the device to be used to teach a user batter how to hit balls thrown in each position about the home plate.
