Abstract: A system for evaluating a view, including a first mapper for encoding an image of a view according to a first parameter to create a first map having multiple defined areas, a second mapper for encoding the image according to a second parameter to create a second map having multiple defined areas, an overlap mapper for combining the maps to create an overlap map, a tabulator for measuring areas in the overlap map corresponding to overlapping defined areas, creating a set of measurements of the image, and an analyzer for analyzing the set of measurements of the image and a learning set of measurement groups with associated values to compute an estimated value associated with the image where the estimated value relates to the set of measurements of the image in the same manner that each value in the learning set relates to its associated measurement group.

Abstract: Processing an image with embedded metadata by determining an integer value of a byte and separate the integer value into a plurality of digits, converting each of the digits into an encoding value using a predefined conversion function, selecting a pixel block in a metadata container, encoding into the selected pixel block each of the encoding values, and after the pixel block is encoded using a lossy compression scheme and subsequently decoded into raw pixel data, extracting the metadata from the raw pixel data, and performing at least one predefined action using the metadata.

Abstract: Buffering messages by receiving a message from a messaging client, writing the message to a logically-contiguous write-available region of a message buffer starting at a logically next write-available location within the write-available region, updating a head index to indicate a head boundary between a logically last message in the message buffer and a logically next write-available location in the message buffer, defining a packet including the message within the message buffer, transmitting a packet that includes a logically first message in the message buffer, and updating a tail index to indicate a tail boundary between a new logically last write-available location in the message buffer and a new logically first message in the message buffer.

Abstract: A multi-protocol authentication and authorization system including a request interceptor configured to receive from a requestor a first request using a first transport protocol and a second request using a second transport protocol, and an authenticator for validating a digest received from the requestor, where the request interceptor is configured to authenticate the requestor if the digest is valid and if at least one multi-protocol criterion applied to the requests is met.

Abstract: An RFID tag is provided including an object ID and a counter. Such an RFID tag may be employed in an RFID tag system including a parent RFID tag having an object ID and a counter, a child RFID tag, and a reader/writer configured to read the object ID and the counter of the parent RFID tag, combine values of the object ID and the counter, and write the combined value to an object ID of the child RFID tag.
