    Abstract: The present invention relates to plants that are stably infected with an endophyte fungus. The purpose in providing to plants unique fungal endophytes is to import desired traits. These traits include insect resistance and drought tolerance and improved persistence to the plants. The plants specifically grass without inoculation with the endophyte would not evidence these traits as strongly. Endophyte inoculated grass can be used as turfgrass or foraging material depending on the grass type selected. In the present invention an endophyte that has a native host of meadow fescue was discovered. This endophyte did not provide animal toxicity's. This endophyte was transferred to a non-native host, Lolium perenne L. The transfer of Neotyphodium siegelii to Lolium perenne L. as a host was unique. The endophyte when in the non-native host evidenced stable inheritance and lacked the herbivore toxic effect.

The inner body can be a cup similar to the outer cup, or a flexible bladder. The barrier layer can be a reflective metallic foil layer, or a substrate having a metallic material defining a mirrored surface thereon capable of reflecting radiant electromagnetic energy back toward the source thereof so as to reduce the transfer of such radiant energy across the barrier layer. The insulated bottle also includes a closure cap which fits over and is releasably sealable with an open top of the container body.

Each sleeve structure receives one tension rod member and the plurality of tie-down devices interconnects the tension rod members to the pickup truck so that the cover can maintain a taut condition over the bed of the vehicle. The covering assembly also includes a frame assembly and a plurality of insert adapters. The insert adapters are mounted into pre-existing stake pockets of the vehicle and the frame assembly is supported by the mounted insert adapters. A substitute cover is adapted to be positioned over the frame assembly to form a tent structure over the bed of the vehicle.

Each partition panel has an inner edge fitted into the groove, an outer edge and a bottom edge that rests on the support surface. A second flat, horizontal panel may similarly be mounted below the first flat panel, and a third flat, horizontal panel may provide a shelf or bench.

Optionally receiving means are positioned in the toilet to hold the sheet out of the water and in line with the child's urine stream. The sheet is preferably formed of carboxymethyl cellulose and sized to dissolve when contacted with 30 cc of urine. In the preferred embodiment this toilet training system and associated method of encouraging child to use the toilet is in a booklet form.

At least one testing fluid is introduced and removed from the interior with the locations of introduction on removal preferably being such that the testing fluid flows across the test sample. The drive may be a carriage operated through the housing sidewall by a ferromagnetic coupling, and the sample station may be a turntable rotated by a ferromagnetic coupling. A second sample station may be included so that different wear path configurations are possible.

    Abstract: The present invention is a method that uses an absorption column for the cleavage and recovery of taxanes, which are not normally detected as free taxanes. The method processes a first solution that contains standard detectable taxanes and other undetectable taxane compounds to generate a second solution that contains a higher percentage of detectable standard taxane then the first solution. The first step of this method is loading a column having a first opening and a second opening with an ion exchange media. The next step is placing the first solution in the first opening of the column so that the first solution passes through the ion exchange media in the column and flows to the second opening. Thus, the taxane compounds are converted to standard taxanes by an ion exchange reaction and the second solution is formed.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring pressure between the surface of a body part and a contact surface employ a plurality of pressure sensors disposed in a matrix array between the contact surface and the body part. The sensors produce analog force signals proportional to pressure, and a monitor receives the analog signals and produces output signals, preferably digital, having pressure data corresponding to the pressure at each sensor. A computer processor receives the output signals from the monitor to create a force profile for the sensor array. The sensors may be scanned as a read event in variety of manners, including periodic, continuous and triggered scanning. Where triggered scanning is desired, one or more switches act to initiate a read event. This monitoring apparatus and method is used, for example, to fit prosthetics, to monitor bed-ridden and wheelchair-bound patients, to reduce pain and sores caused by uneven distribution of pressure and to monitor pressure between a cast and a person.

The edge portion of the central panel section thus form an inwardly-facing channel, and the female profile includes a detent structure that engages the inwardly facing channel when a male profile is mated with a female profile. A fan-fold fabrication method for forming the profiles as a continuous process of flat sheet stock is described.
