  • Patent number: 6939287
Abstract: A magnetotherapeutic device incorporates bio-ceramic fibers so as to provide simultaneous magnetotherapy and far infra-red wave therapy. Generally encased in clear plastic or the like, the magnetotherapeutic device of the present invention may take the form of a transparent disk having a plastic rim. A stainless cap may provide an attractive top surface into which a logo or symbol may be embossed. It also enhances the magnetic affects on the side opposite the stainless steel cap, the side that is applied to the body. A strong magnet such as one incorporating neodymium may underlie the stainless steel cap to provide magnetotherapy in the present invention. Bio-ceramic fibers emitting the far infra-red wavelengths of 8–14 microns underlie the strong neodymium magnet. A mat of woven bio-ceramic fibers or the like may provide such a structure.

  • Patent number: 6588912
Abstract: A lighting box or front projection light device has a housing with an open front and open rear and a bar or rod extending horizontally across the housing. Multiple stage-type nonfocusable lights such as par lamps are mounted on the bar and positioned to send light out the front of the box. The box also has a diffusion element holder (frame) disposed proximate its front end, and even may have multiple diffusion element holders including having one diffusion element holder at an angle. Each diffusion element holder has a diffusion element or filter. The diffusion element or elements receive the light from the lighting instruments and diffuse it to provide a soft projected light from the box. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, this light may be used to provide diffused light as part of the key lighting for a stage or set, and may provide such soft projected lighting from a front (downstage) of the stage or set.

  • Patent number: 6205251
Abstract: A method and device for decompressing a compressed video image and capable of enlarging or contracting the image at the same time. The method utilizes an enhancement/contraction pre-processor to perform enlargement or contraction processing on the compressed data in the vertical direction. Then, at a later stage, an enhancement/contraction post-processor is used to perform enlargement or contraction processing on the decompressed data in the horizontal direction. By dividing the whole video image into a number of rows and dealing with each row sequentially, memory for storing a single row of video data is only required. Therefore, a whole image can be decompressed without using large amount of memory for storing the decompressed data; a large amount of memory is saved.

  • Patent number: 6157348
Abstract: A low-profile antenna has increased broad-banding capacities as well as a lower radiation angle for enhanced cellular or mobile telephone wireless transmissions. Enhancing a basic PIFA antenna, a top metal radiator is notched so as to provide additional corners and greater perimeter length thereby enhancing the bandwidth capabilities of the antenna. Both ground and tuning tabs serve to enhance operational characteristics and a dielectric cover incorporating prismatic qualities serves to lower the radiation angle of transmission from approximately forty degrees (40.degree.) to twenty degrees (20.degree.). The prisms provide an operating radiation angle in the range of approximately seventy degrees (70.degree.) to twenty degrees (20.degree.).
