  • Patent number: 8294066
Abstract: A heated element includes a thermally and electrically conductive polymer in a shaped or spaced arrangement. The spaced arrangement has at least one string of material with ends that are configured to be electrically connected to a power source. A first end is connected to a positive terminal of the power source while the other end is connected to a negative terminal of the power source. A hand grip includes the heating element disposed on an inner layer, and may include an outer layer. The spaced arrangement may be disposed between the inner and outer layer for indirect heating applications. Alternatively, portions of the spaced arrangement may protrude from either the inner layer or the outer layer for direct heating applications. The heated element may be used with a number of devices, including but not limited to, golf club grips, hand grips, heating pads, blankets, or other applications.

  • Patent number: 8245827
Abstract: A clutch-brake assembly transmits force to rotate a shaft and to retain the shaft against rotation. The assembly includes a plurality of force transmitting members which transmit force between a piston and a base member. A plurality of springs urge the piston to move relative to the base member. A plurality of spring retainers are disposed between the base member and the piston. Each of the spring retainers includes a plurality of projecting portions extending from the base portion. Each of the springs is telescopically disposed on one of the projecting portions. Each of the force transmitting members is disposed between adjacent spring retainers.

  • Patent number: 8182361
Abstract: A changeable grip 12 for a shock imparting implement has a gripping sleeve 18 positioned on a handle sleeve 15 attached to a handle 14. A lower end of gripping sleeve 18 abuts a ledge 28 integrally formed in the handle sleeve 15. A threaded cap 20 compresses the gripping sleeve 18 against the ledge 28 to secure the grip 12 to the handle sleeve 15. Optional splines 40 on an outer surface of the handle sleeve 15 meshing with channels 42 in the gripping sleeve 18 function to prevent slippage or rotation during use.

  • Patent number: 8105522
Abstract: An improved compression molding process uses a separation plate 26 disposed between the upper and lower sections 22, 24 of a compression mold 20 for forming a grip with a distinct separation of multiple elastomeric materials. An optional compound retention plate 25 mounted on at least one of the mold sections forms a distinct color separation in the resulting grip. The optional compound retention plate 25 provides at least one groove formed in the split line of the grip that may be filled in with paint for a distinct overall two color appearance.
