  • Patent number: 4186718
Abstract: Fire preventing shielding and air circulation apparatus for use with a box-type stove includes means for forming a chamber bounded at its top by the bottom of the firebox of the stove using a flat panel and upwardly extending apertured sides. A preferred embodiment also includes a stack formed on and bounded by the rear side of the stove and connected to communicate with the chamber.

  • Patent number: 4109579
Abstract: A practice ammunition device, particularly a practice mortar shell, corresponding substantially identically to a live, tactical mortar shell in size, weight, configuration, and location of center of gravity. The practice shell closely simulates a live shell in all phases of operation including handling, loading, trajectory, and impact.

  • Patent number: 4054002
Abstract: A desiccating device for preventing corrosion within the barrel of a firearm includes a moisture pervious tube filled with moisture absorbing desiccant material. The tube extends the full length of the gun barrel, with its inner end being plugged and extending into the firing chamber. A cap is mounted on the outer end of the tube, and includes attachment means such as a permanent magnet to hold the tube in place and close the muzzle end of the barrel. The device also provides a safety feature, since the inner end of the tube prevents accidental placement or storage of a live bullet within the firing chamber.

  • Patent number: 3967502
Abstract: A thermal timing device formed by a meat thermometer provided with a removable heat insulating shroud or jacket. The meat thermometer may be used in the usual fashion without the jacket to indicate the extent to which meat is roasted. With the jacket in place on the thermometer, the timing device may then be used for controlling other cooking processes such as broiling, baking, deep fat frying, and boiling.

  • Patent number: 3945252
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the rate of fluid flow through a conduit including a flow rate sensor assembly connected to suitable electrical circuitry and indicating instrumentation. The sensor assembly includes a heated wound resistive element which senses fluid flow rate and a fluid temperature compensating wound resistive element, both elements being mounted on a common spherically shaped surface which is exposed to the flow media.
