Abstract: A mini-blind apparatus is disclosed having a first horizontal slat and a second slat disposed spaced and parallel relative to the first slat. The apparatus includes a first tab having a first and a second end, the first end of the first tab being secured to a rearward edge of the first slat, the first tab defining a first and a second cage. The first cage is disposed between the first and the second end of the first tab and a first control has a first bead secured thereto for entrapment thereof within the first cage. The second cage is disposed between the first cage and the second end of the first tab. A second control has a first protuberance secured thereto for entrapment thereof within the second cage. A second tab has a first and a second extremity, the first extremity of the second tab being secured to a rear edge of the second slat, the second tab defining a first and a second recess. The first recess is disposed between the first and the second extremity of the second tab.

Abstract: A shielding apparatus secured to landscaping material is disclosed for shielding a plant from weed growth. The apparatus includes an elongate plate having a first and a second edge, the plate defining an opening which is disposed between the edges of the plate for the growth therethrough of the plant. A first rail removably cooperates with the first edge of the plate such that the landscaping material is locked between the first rail and the first edge of the plate. Also, a second rail removably cooperates with the second edge of the plate such that the landscaping material is locked between the second rail and the second edge of the plate.

Abstract: A spraying apparatus is disclosed for spraying coating material onto an internal wall of a cylindrical structure having an opening. The apparatus includes a spraying assembly which has a first and a second end. A support is secured to the spraying assembly, the support being selectively movable relative to the opening of the structure for permitting movement of the second end of the spraying assembly axially relative to the structure. A first conduit has a first and a second extremity, the first extremity of the first conduit being connected to a source of a first component of the coating material. The second extremity of the first conduit is connected to the second end of the spraying assembly. A second conduit has a first and a second termination, the first termination of the second conduit being connected to a further source of a second component of the coating material. The second termination of the second conduit is connected to the second end of the spraying assembly.

Abstract: A cable stripper apparatus is disclosed for stripping insulation from electric cable. The apparatus includes a framework and a drive secured to the framework. A wire feeder is rotatably secured to the framework and is rotatably driven by the drive. A guide is provided for guiding the cable towards the wire feeder. Also, a cutter is connected to the framework adjacent to the feeder. The arrangement is such that when the cable is guided by the guide towards the wire feeder, the wire feeder and the cutter cooperate with each other for stripping the insulation from the cable.

Abstract: A seal apparatus is disclosed for sealing dampening solution which is disposed within a reservoir extending from a nip defined between a form roller and a metering roller of a lithographic printing machine. The apparatus includes a source of pressurized air and device for directing a flow of air from the source of pressurized air towards an edge of the reservoir and between the form and metering rollers such that the flow of air generates an air dam for sealing the reservoir so that leakage of the dampening solution from the edge of the reservoir is inhibited.

Abstract: A mixer apparatus is disclosed for mixing livestock feed and the like. The apparatus includes a container for the reception therein of the feed. The container includes a housing and a wall extending away from the housing. The wall defines an opening which is disposed remote from the housing for the reception therethrough of the feed. The arrangement is such that the housing and the wall define therebetween an enclosure for the feed received through the opening. An auger is disposed within the enclosure, the auger having an axis of rotation which extends through the housing. The mixer apparatus further includes a further auger which is disposed within the enclosure, the further auger having a rotational axis disposed approximately parallel and spaced from the axis of rotation of the auger.

Abstract: A mini blind apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first slat having a first and a second end and a front and a rear edge. A second slat is disposed spaced and parallel relative to the the first slat, the second slat having a first and a second extremity and a front and a rear side. A control mechanism is connected to the slats for controlling movement of the slats. The spaced disposition of the slats is selectively controlled by the control mechanism. The control mechanism includes a supporting polyester tape connected to the slats.

Abstract: A mixer apparatus for mixing materials such as feed is disclosed. The apparatus includes a container for the reception therein of the materials. The container has a base and a wall extending away from the base, the wall defining an opening disposed remote from the base for the reception therethrough of the materials. The arrangement is such that the base and the wall define therebetween an enclosure for the materials received through the opening. An auger is rotatably disposed within the enclosure, the auger having an axis of rotation extending through the base. A driven wheel is drivingly connected to the auger, the driven wheel being disposed on an opposite side of the base relative to the auger. A drive connected to a main source of power, the drive being drivingly connected to the driven wheel so that when the drive rotates, the auger is rotated within the enclosure for mixing the materials.

Abstract: A horizontal window blind apparatus having at least a first and a second slat disposed parallel and spaced relative to each other is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first tab which is secured to the first slat, the first tab defining a first opening and a second opening disposed between the first opening and the first slat. A second tab is secured to the second slat, the second tab being aligned relative to the first tab. The second tab defines a third opening and a fourth opening disposed between the third opening and the second slat. A first elongate control extends through the first and the third openings and a first locking device is provided for selectively locking the first control relative to the first tab. A second locking device is provided for selectively locking the first control relative to the second tab. A second elongate control extends through the second and the fourth openings. A third locking device selectively locks the second control relative to the first tab.

Abstract: A device for removably fastening a picture to a board or the like is disclosed. The device includes a frame which defines an opening for holding the picture, the frame having a front and a back face, a top and a bottom edge and a first and a second side. A fastener is disposed between the back face of the frame and the board, the fastener having a first and a second end, the first end of the fastener defining a board engaging portion for pressing into the board. The second end of the fastener includes a head which removably cooperates with the back face of the frame. The arrangement is such that in use of the device, when the picture has been inserted into the opening in the frame, the frame is fastened to the board by pressing the board engaging portion of the fastener into the board and fastening the head of the fastener to the back face of the frame.

Abstract: A door holding device is disclosed for wedging a door relative to a ceiling for preventing swinging or falling over of the door during painting thereof. The device includes a tubular member having a first and a second end. A biasing device having a first and a second extremity is disposed within the tubular member so that the first extremity of the biasing device abuts against the first end of the tubular member. A piston having a first and a second termination is slidably disposed within the tubular member so that the first termination of the piston abuts against the second extremity of the biasing device such that the piston is urged by the biasing device axially away from the first end of the tubular member. A door engaging fastener is rigidly secured to the first end of the tubular member such that in use of the device, the door engaging fastener is disposed between the door and the first end of the tubular member.

Abstract: A protective cover device is disclosed for use with a snowmobile having an engine compartment, windshield, handlebars, seat, track and skis. The protective cover is used for protecting the snowmobile from the elements during transportation thereof. The device includes a first portion for covering and protecting the engine compartment, windshield, handlebars and seat of the snowmobile. A second portion covers the track and skis. An arrangement is provided for removably sealing the first and second portions together such that when the first and second portions are sealed together, the first and second portions define therebetween an enclosure for the snowmobile. The arrangement is such that during transportation of the snowmobile, ingress of the elements such as H2O, snow, slush and road contaminants onto the snowmobile is inhibited.

Abstract: What is disclosed is a combined pair of ladders and transportation dolly device. The device includes a first framework having a first and a second end and a second framework having a first and a second extremity. The first extremity of the second framework is pivotally secured to the first end of the first framework about a first pivotal axis. A loading platform is provided for supporting a load. The platform has a first and a second edge. The platform is pivotally secured to the second end of the first framework about a second pivotal axis, the second axis being disposed between the first and the second edges of the platform. A tie bar has a first and second termination with the first termination being pivotally secured to the second edge of the platform about a third pivotal axis. The second termination of the platform is pivotally secured to the second framework about a fourth pivotal axis. The fourth pivotal axis is disposed between the first and the second extremities of the second framework.

Abstract: A discharge apparatus of the type disclosed in co-pending application Ser. No. 09/562,167 filed May 2, 2000. The apparatus includes a container for the reception therein of the feed. The container has a base and a wall extending away from the base. The wall defines an opening which is disposed remote from the base for the reception therethrough of the feed. The arrangement is such that the base and the wall define therebetween an enclosure for the feed received through the opening. An auger is rotatably disposed within the enclosure for mixing the feed. Also, the wall further defines an outlet which is disposed between the base and the opening, the outlet permitting discharge therethrough of the feed. A door is disposed adjacent to the outlet, the door being movable from a closed disposition thereof for obturating a discharge of the feed through the outlet when the feed is being mixed to an open disposition thereof for permitting a discharge of the feed when mixed through the outlet.

Abstract: A disinfectant spraying apparatus is disclosed for mounting on a vehicle for spraying disinfectant on each tire of a vehicle before and after entering a livestock farm. The apparatus includes a container for containing the disinfectant, the container being mounted on the vehicle. A pump is disposed in fluid communication with the container for pumping the disinfectant from the container and a motor is provided for driving the pump. A manually operated switch is provided for selectively connecting the motor to a source of power such that when the switch is disposed in an operative disposition thereof, the motor is energized so that the motor drives the pump for generating a flow of the disinfectant downstream from the pump. A flow splitter is included for splitting the flow of the disinfectant pumped by the pump from the container such that the flow is split into a plurality of flow lines.

Abstract: A urine pot capable of reducing accidental leakage of urine once received therein and avoiding emission of noise of urine injection, which comprises a combination of a urine pot body, in which urine is received and which has a neck, with an insertion funnel for male or with an insertion funnel for female, in which both of these funnels have a portion to be inserted into the neck of the pot body and an elongated discharge spout extending downwards, said insertion funnel being adapted to be coupled tightly with the pot body upon insertion of the funnel into the neck of the pot body with its spout end being located near the bottom of the pot body, so as to be kept immersed within the urine layer in the pot, and the top of the insertion funnel being desined to be adapted for use either for male or for female.

Abstract: A toy igloo device is disclosed for resting on the ground. The device includes a dome shaped housing which defines an enclosure and an entrance. The housing includes a plurality of selectively interlocking sections with each section of the plurality of sections having an edge which rests on the ground. A first section of the plurality of sections defines a first opening and a second section of the plurality of sections is disposed adjacent to the first section. The second section defines a second opening so that the first and the second openings cooperate with each other to define the entrance. Each of the sections has an external surface which defines at least two pockets for the reception therein of snow. The arrangement is such that when the sections are interlocked, with the edges of the sections resting on the ground, snow is received and gathered within the pockets such that the toy igloo takes on an appearance of an Eskimo dwelling.

The final driven wheel and the auger together as a unit are removable and replaceable relative to the housing and enclosure respectively.

Abstract: A horizontal window blind apparatus is disclosed for selectively controlling light transfer through a window. The apparatus includes a frame disposed within the window and a tab movably connected to and supported by the frame, the tab having a first and a second end. A slat has a front and a rear edge, the rear edge of the slat being connected to the first end of the tab such that the slat is cantilevered from the tab. A further tab is movably connected to and supported by the frame, the further tab having a first and a second extremity. Also, a further slat is disposed parallel relative to the slat, the further slat having a further front and a further rear edge. The further rear edge of the further slat is connected to the first extremity of the further tab such that the further slat is cantilevered from the further tab.

Abstract: In a wheel barrow having a load carrying container disposed between a rotatable wheel and a handle, an adapter apparatus is disclosed for assisting transportation of the wheelbarrow. The adapter apparatus includes a frame having a first and a second end and an axle having a first and a second side. The axle extends through the frame and the rotatable wheel such that the rotatable wheel rotates about the axle. Additionally, the axle pivotally supports the wheel barrow such that pivotal movement of the wheel barrow about the axle and relative to the frame is permitted. A rotatable device is secured to the frame so that the container is disposed between the axle and the rotatable device. The arrangement is such that in a first mode of operation of the apparatus, the wheel barrow is supported by the frame and is transported on the rotatable wheel and the rotatable device for transportation of the load disposed within the container.
