Abstract: The invention is a ring of rubber or plastic material that fits snug around the base of a toilet at its junction with the floor. The ring contains a channel with a sloping internal wall that engages the wall of the toilet base and causes liquids to collect in channel. A recess in the outside wall of the channel allows the liquid to escape into an appropriate container. The outside wall of the channel facing the front of the toilet bowl is raise to avoid over splash.

Abstract: A silent communicator for persons who are incapable of communicating their needs. The communicator is comprised of a display panel mounted on an arm which is in turn mounted on a bed rail or other surface accessible to the patient, and a control pad which fits in the patient's hand . The control pad has a rocker switch and two button switches for the patient to manipulate to display a message on the display panel.

Abstract: A briefcase light is provided that consists of a base unit, a flexible arm and a light/power source unit. The light/power source unit contains a light emitting device, a battery and a switch, all electrically connected. The flexible arm allows the user to direct the light provided in any direction without the need for the user to hold the light in place.

Abstract: The invention consists of a panel having an area that is substantially the same dimension as the tail gate on a pickup truck cargo body. The panel is suspended from a track mounted on the body side rails, and through a wheel assembly rides the length of the truck bed. Cut out areas allow the panel to move past the wheel wells and doors attached to the panel are adapted to close off the cut out areas when not obstructed by the wheel wells. Locking bolts on each side engage slots in the side rails and slots in a floor mounted track. A single handle on each side controls the movement of the vertical and horizontal locking bolts.

Abstract: The invention is an apparatus for organizing and dispensing pipette tips. A hopper receives bulk pipette tips which pass through a diamond shaped apertures in a sieve and drop into the troughs of a separator which moves the aligned and oriented tips to an organizer which separates the tips and aligns them with storage tubes and drops the tips into tubes where they are stacked and stored. An ejection membrane at the opposite end of the tube allows the tips to be removed into a tip holder box one layer at a time.

Abstract: The invention is a hidden stand for dolls that includes a set of shells, hemispheric, bell or horn shaped adapted to rest on a flat surface containing an opening in the top surface of each shell for receiving the legs and lower torso of a doll. The garment covering the lower torso is spread over the shell where it is appropriately displayed.

Abstract: A metal or plastic container containing a ball valve switch and adapted to connect into a fuel line between the source and use, the container having front, back and side panels for protecting the switch and a door in the front panel for rapid access to the switch.

Abstract: A high capacity dust and litter collector including a five sided container having a rear mounted axle and wheels and angulated leading edge with a rubber blade that cause the container to tilt rearward about the axle, tending to cause the contents to remain in the container. A handle attached to the rear of the container curves forward over the container and terminates forward of the midpoint of the bottom wall of the container balancing out the effects of the rearward tilt. Pockets in the rear and side walls accept the wheels making then flush with the side walls of the container.

Abstract: An apparatus for releasably locking a microphone stand tube to a microphone base has a lock member receiver threadingly attached to the microphone base. A locking coupling has a first end threadingly attached to the microphone stand tube. A lock member has a coupling end connected to a second end of the locking coupling and a locking retainer releasably locked into the locking receiver. The lock member has a locking actuator arm. A locking arm is connected to the locking actuator arm and pivotally connected to the locking retainer. There is a securing hook attached to the locking arm. The securing hook releasably engages an end of the lock member receiver. There is a spring receiving chamber in the locking retainer. A lock spring has an end removably placed in the spring retaining chamber and another end abutting the locking arm. The male exterior surface is octagon in shape and a female interior surface of the lock member receiver is octagon in shape to receive the male exterior surface of the lock member.

Abstract: A musical instrument having a body and a neck that is fixedly attached to the body. There is a plurality of strings with each string having a first end and a second end. The first end of each string is releasably attachable to the body in at least one of four replaceable string configurations. The second end of each string is releasably attachable to the neck in at least one of four replaceable string configurations. The first replaceable string configuration allows a musician to play a plurality of chords using only one finger. The second, third and fourth replaceable string configurations allow a musician to play the instrument as a six string guitar, a twelve string guitar and a ten string Puerto Rican Cuatro, respectively.

Abstract: A remote control holder and illumination device, for a remote control having a keypad has a base, an illumination member and a mirror housing adjustment member. The base has a guide passage therein. A fastening member is attached to the upper surface of the base to fasten the base to the remote control. The illumination member has a support frame slidingly attached to the base. A mirror housing is connected to the support frame. A convex mirror is attached to the mirror housing. The mirror may be curved in a convex or concave manner. A mirror housing adjustment member has a guide tab, connected to the support frame, that traverses the guide passage. An actuation member extends through the guide passage to allow the user to adjust the position of the mirror housing along the length of the base.

Abstract: A fish stringer apparatus, in combination with a fish stringer cord, has a substantially semi-hemispheric leg. There is a first end and a second end on the substantially semi-hemispheric leg. A hinge mechanism is attached to the first end. The hinge mechanism has a hinge base and there is a first stop and a second stop on the hinge base. There is a latch bar that has a hinge end and a latch end. The latch bar is hingedly connected to the hinge mechanism at the hinge end of the latch bar. A latch mechanism attached to the second end of the semi-hemispheric leg. The latch bar is releasingly placed in the latch mechanism. The latch bar abuts the second stop causing the latch end of the latch bar to stop below the entrance to the latch mechanism. This causes the latch bar to be bent above the entrance to the latch mechanism in order to springingly bias the latch end of the latch bar down into the latch mechanism by way of the entrance.

Abstract: An apparatus for leveling a ladder having at least two vertical supports has a vertical support gripping member that has a support wall and a gripping wall attached to the support wall. A plurality of gripping wall teeth is on the gripping wall. A tightening member wall is attached to the support wall and opposes the gripping wall. A first vertical support retaining member is attached to the gripping wall. A second vertical support retaining member is attached to the tightening member wall. The guide channel is formed by the support wall, the gripping wall, the tightening member wall, the first vertical support retaining member and the second vertical support retaining member. One of the vertical support members is slidingly engaged within the guide channel. A threadingly adjustable tightening member, threadingly engaged in a threaded port in the vertical support, releasingly abuts a first outer surface of one of the vertical supports.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for mulching paper and paper products including a hopper having a gage bar limiting the thickness of the material entering the hopper, a cutting chamber where a cutter bar and a mulcher bar, operated by an electric motor, rotate and mulch the material and eject it into a chute and a bag at the end of the chute. The apparatus is easily clamped to a table.

Abstract: A pool table having a gravity fed ball return system with a ball return compartment positioned beneath the playing surface thereof is combined with a self-powered electrical light. Broadly, the light includes a light bulb disposed within the ball return compartment and an electrical circuit for selectively energizing the bulb. The bulb is powered by at least one dry cell battery supported by the pool table. Embodiments of the inventive light having bulbs of both incandescent and fluorescent types are illustrated. One embodiment includes an incandescent bulb which may be selectively energized by axial movement of a metallic rod within a housing secured to the pool table. The second embodiment of the light, including the fluorescent bulb, is provided with an electrical, pushbutton switch mounted upon the side of the pool table for selectively energizing the bulb.
