  • Patent number: 6640455
Abstract: An extendable carpenter's level which comprises a pair of extending body members capable of adapting and mounting upon the standard “I” level frame configuration of a carpenter's level by sliding said extendable body members onto the frame of the standard level. Each extending body member consists of a top and bottom slide extension rigidly attached to one another so as to be firmly in contact with the level frame. The top and bottom slide he extensions each incorporate a lock pin to insure rigidity as against the level frame and stop clips to eliminate outward extension of the extending body members beyond the end of the level frame. In another embodiment, each extending body member is split such that both the top and bottom slide extensions comprise generally a right and left side extension held together by means of slide springs and flush mounted screws.

  • Patent number: 6441294
Abstract: The instant device provides a method for enhancing the sound of any acoustic/electric guitar and other musical instrument by electronically oscillating and manipulating the sound emitted by the guitar or other instrument. The prior art utilizes a manually activated processor that when used, in conjunction with a guitar and sound amplifying device, is capable of creating a broad range of sounds. The processor has customarily been located upon the floor and is activated by a foot pedal. This presented method replaces the prior art pedal processors and the need to be physically in proximity to the processor to activate the pedal and the processor. It accomplishes this by providing electronic means integral with a guitar strap whereby upward and downward movements of the guitar neck or guitar body activate the electronic means creating variable electronic signals to an amplifier or other amplifying device enabling a wide range of distorted sounds to be emitted from the guitar.

  • Patent number: 5446955
Abstract: A method to increase and enhance tire mold height capability of various mechanical tire presses. The method accomplishes mold hold enhancement without imparting appreciable jarring and vibration during press operation. For presses with crank pins pressed into crank gears, the method utilizes removal of the existing crank pin and replacement with an eccentric pin thereby effectively reducing the distance of crank throw by a certain predetermined amount. Side link length is enhanced by a corresponding amount with the result being the repositioning of the press beam by an amount equal to a total of the foregoing. Thereafter, a tire mold of that enhanced height may be accommodated between the beam and base members of the press.
