  • Patent number: 5332865
Abstract: This invention relates to a line guiding assembly comprising a line guiding trough and a line assembly guided therein which includes a plurality of ribbon cables held within an encapsulant and reinforcement channels. The line assembly forms a loop with a lower length and an upper length. A ribbon material either in a drum or coil is provided that fits inside the loop wherein the coil of ribbon material is between the upper and lower lengths of the line reinforced assembly and extends and retracts in the same direction as the movement of the loop and lengths of the assembly. The ribbon material is different from the material of the line assembly and is preferably stainless steel. A double ended system with two line assemblies operating in a single trough is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5057217
Abstract: An integral filter leaf assembly comprising microporous polymeric filter cloths heat-bonded to the apices of an undulating screen to form a strong unitary pressure resistant filter unit which essentially replaces filter leaf assemblies. The screen and felt sides of the filter cloths are preferably heat sealable thermoplastics, usually polypropylene to allow heat-bonding and heat-sealing of seams throughout for a unitary assembly strong in compression. Outer filter coat is preferably porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene. Optionally, a circumferential stiff load-bearing frame may be enclosed within the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4972846
Abstract: A patch electrode for use with defibrillators is provided. The patch electrode comprises a soft, flexible patch of polymeric material and bonded to it, a smaller patch of polymeric material that has been metal-plated. A lead wire is attached to the patch by a polymeric boot. A defibrillator system is also provided wherein two electrodes and lead wires are attached to a generator typically used for cardioventing and defibrillization. The invention is particularly useful for cardiac muscle stimulation but can also be used for muscle stimulation.
