  • Patent number: 8351864
Abstract: A wireless terminal capable of securing the number of station units capable of simultaneous communication with one unit of access point, reducing power consumption, and ensuring stable communication quality. In the wireless terminal (100), an interference determining section (109) determines whether or not an interference wave is at a predetermined level or more on the basis of the RSSI and SNR of the received signals which are calculated by an RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) calculating section (104) and SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) calculating section (105) and the presence/absence of a demodulation error notified from a demodulation section (108). A number-of-retransmission upper limit setting section (113) sets the upper limit of the number of retransmission smaller than when the interference wave is at the predetermined level or lower if the interference wave is at the predetermined level or more.

  • Patent number: 8350123
Abstract: The present invention provides transgenic cover crop plants which after harvest degrade the hemicellulose and cellulose therein to fermentable sugars which can further be fermented to ethanol or other products. In particular, the transgenic plants comprise cellulase, hemicellulase and optionally ligninase genes from microbes operably linked to a DNA encoding a signal peptide which targets the fusion polypeptide produced therefrom to an organelle of the plant, in particular, the chloroplasts. When the transgenic plants are harvested, the plants are ground to release the hemicellulase and cellulase which then degrade the hemicellulose and cellulose of the transgenic plants to produce the fermentable sugars.

  • Patent number: 8345678
Abstract: A technique for flexibly performing processes depending on the type of a path for providing an additional service when there are a plurality of paths for providing additional services for the same session between terminals communicating with each other over a network is disclosed. According to the technique, when a mobile terminal (MN 100) establishes a QoS path using NSIS to a corresponding node (CN 124) on different types of data communication paths, a signaling message including information (MIE) representing the path type is created and transmitted. Each node (QNE) with an NSIS QoS function, which has received the message, identifies a plurality of QoS paths by comparing the MIE, a session identifier and a flow identifier, and performs processing of the QoS paths according to control information (CI) from MNs or/and the policy which the QNE has.

  • Patent number: 8345562
Abstract: A spatial multiplex number controlling method and others wherein streams can be separated for each of receivers and the transmission efficiency can be improved. In a receiving apparatus, a PER is calculated from a history of CRC test results per stream multiplex number. A reception quality and an offset corresponding to the calculated PER are fed back to a transmitting apparatus. The transmitting apparatus assigns, based on the fed-back reception quality and offset, the streams, thereby controlling the stream multiplex number.
