  • Patent number: 4084446
Abstract: A drive mechanism for a vibratory machine, comprising an input shaft rotatably mountable on the non-vibrating frame of the machine and adapted to be driven, e.g. by a belt drive and pulleys from a standard electric motor, an output shaft mounted in line with the input shaft on the vibratable part of the machine by heavy duty bearings and a flexible resiliently deformable member in the form of an inflatable bellows located between the input and output shafts and preferably sandwiched between plates mounted on the ends of the two shafts and out-of-balance weights on the output shaft whereby, upon rotation of the input shaft, the output shaft will be rotated at the same speed and due to the presence of the weights will cause vibration of the vibratable part of the machine, the flexible resiliently deformable member ensuring that little or no motion other than rotation is transmitted from the output shaft to the input shaft and hence to the electric motor.

  • Patent number: 4080146
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a mold construction particularly adapted for the blow molding of hollow articles having configurated bottoms. The mold is split longitudinally of the article and includes first and second halves each having a separate end portion. The end portions are interconnected so that when the mold is open, both end portions are retained with one mold half with one end portion moving relative to its respective mold half both longitudinally and transversely for both moving transversely with a molded article and longitudinally away from the molded article so as to first completely release the molded article from one mold half, and the end portion of the other mold half being thereafter movable longitudinally with respect thereto to separate the other end portion from the molded article and thus permit the ejection of the molded article from the mold. The molds are arranged in end-to-end substantially touching relation wherein there is a minimum of waste material between adjacent molded articles.

  • Patent number: 4079991
Abstract: This invention relates to rockers for mounting on the legs of chairs to convert the chairs to rocking chairs. The rockers are adaptable to be mounted on chairs having different spacings between the legs thereof, and to be mounted on chairs the bottoms of whose legs are connected by bars. The rockers are also adapted to be releasably or permanently mounted on the chairs. To fulfill all these functions, the inventive rocker, which consists of an arcuately shaped elongated member, has elongated openings adjacent the front and rear ends and on the top surface thereof. The elongated openings receive the legs of normal chairs. Extending across the width of the rocker, and over the elongated openings, are grooves which can receive the bars of chairs whose legs are connected by bars. As the openings are elongated the rockers can be mounted on chairs with different lengths of spacing between their front and rear legs.
