Abstract: A roll-back, flat-bed truck comprising a cab at the front end and a frame at the rear end and a flat-bed with a curved leading edge secured thereto by securement members. The securement members include a hinge having a lower hinge half coupled to the frame adjacent to the rear end of the frame and an upper hinge half coupled to the bed. A hinge pin couples the hinge halves to allow tilting the upper hinge half and bed with respect to the lower hinge half and frame about a horizontal axis. A swivel plate is attached to the frame adjacent to the rear end of the frame and a swivel member positioned in an aperture extending through the swivel plate to allow swiveling of the bed with respect to the frame about a vertical axis. The center of curvature of the leading edge of the bed is coextensive with the axis of rotation of the swivel member.

Abstract: According to a process for operating a slot machine that works as a roulette wheel, the gambler determines the amount of the stake by introducing coins then by pressing selection keys. A microprocessor determines the result of the game by means of random algorithm. When the chosen number is hit, the microprocessor instructs the coin distributing unit to eject the main prize. When a chosen number is hit, the microprocessor drives another processor with a random generator. The random generator determines, depending on a written algorithm, a gain multiplier which is multiplied by the amount of the stake on the number that was hit. The payment unit is then instructed to distribute an amount in coins which corresponds to the product of the stake on the number that was hit and the gain multiplier.

Abstract: The cyclic Isolongifolanone ketals of the general formula A wherein the wavy lines mean .alpha. and .beta.-configuration and R,R' mean radicals of hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, are new. With preference they are used either as odorants or as components of perfume compositions. They are manufactured from Isolongifolene which is itself produced from Longifolene as is well known. Isolongifolene is oxydized to Isolongifolene-3-on and this is reacted with aliphatic 1,2-diols in apolar solvents with the separation of water.

Abstract: A fabric for a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material is disclosed, which comprises the warp and the weft wherein the warp comprises reinforcing fiber and the weft comprises high molecular weight grade polyether ether ketone resin yarns and low molecular weight grade polyether ether ketone resin yarns, or wherein the warp comprises reinforcing fiber and at least one of high molecular weight grade polyether ether ketone resin yarns and low molecular weight grade polyether ether ketone resin yarns and the weft comprises reinforcing fiber and at least one of high molecular weight grade polyether ether ketone resin yarns and low molecular weight grade polyethe ether ketone resin yarns. The fabric can be laminated or molded into a product having an excellent toughness and shock resistance in almost the same heating time as the conventional one.

Abstract: A column assembly having a plurality of floor-height columns which are erected vertically, one on top of the other, to define the floors of the building structure to be constructed. Each column comprises a plurality of reinforcement rods which are embedded in the column and extend outwardly from the ends thereof. The rods are cut at precisely equal lengths to extend precisely equal distances from each end of the column. Each rod is threaded in a precise manner with the thread beginning at the same orientation for each rod such that when the columns are stacked end-to-end, the rods are in perfect axial alignment with the thread of one rod continuously leading into the thread of the contiguous rod to which it is aligned. A threaded sleeve is threaded onto the rods extending from the lower end of the upper column and, after stacking of the upper column end-to-end onto a lower column, the threaded sleeve may be threaded onto the axially aligned and contiguous rods extending from the lower column.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of cashing up and collecting money from coin-operated machines and an arrangement of coin-operated machines for carrying out the method. The coin-operated machines which are in association with a money changing machine to form a group. A counter is provided which registers the amounts of money arising, such as the value of coins inserted into gambling machines. Excess coins arising in the machines during play are first fed, unsorted, to the money changing machine, and when its set filling level is reached, are fed to a coin strongbox. It is possible to sort out and feed at least one preferred type of coin, such as a high value coin or a low value coin, to the money changing machine and to feed remaining excess coins unsorted to a coin strongbox. The value of coins being transferred by the coin sorting device is continuously added and stored separately from the coins to be paid out and to be fed into a coin strongbox of the change dispenser.

Abstract: A normally planar tongue scraper. The scraper has free ends and a central extent therebetween. The central extent has a first edge and a second edge with one of the edges having teeth formed therein. The teeth are undulating in configuration with arcuate exterior tips adapted to scrape the tongue of a user. The scraper is formed of a flexible material to allow bending along the length during use thereof. In an alternate embodiment, a support device is employed for removeably retaining the ends of the scraper with the central extent in an arcuate configuration. Abstract: The invention of this application comprises a novel filter assembly including a charcoal filter and a fiberglass filter positioned within a housing. The fiberglass filter comprises a fiberglass mat mounted to a wire structure formed in an accordion-shape so as to increase the surface area of the fiberglass mat. The invention also comprises a novel sensor system for sensing when the grease filter and the filter assembly have been installed, for sensing when the filter assembly is about to require changing and for shutting down the exhaust hood when the assembly requires changing.

Abstract: A lawn mower deck assembly having a pair of similarly shaped decks. Each of the decks has rotary cutting blades for cutting grass therebeneath. Furthermore, a pivotal shaft is used to couple the decks together at their adjacent edges. The mower has wheels located adjacent to the first end of each deck and a mounting bracket located at the second end of each deck. Finally, H-links having upper and lower ends pivotally coupled to a mounting bracket and the deck allow the deck to raise and lower adjacent to the pivot axis for cutting grass on an uneven terrain.
