  • Patent number: 4863083
Abstract: The invented device comprises a waist belt (20), two boot fasteners (24), and one ski fastener (30). The waist belt compreses a buckle (22) and a belt of adjustable length. The boot fastener is also a belt that can wrap around the calf support section of the boot and tie it up with self gripping fastener (28). The boot fastener is attached to the waist belt through a loop (26) or other comparable design. By a similar mechanism, the ski fastener can fasten a pair of skis in a vertical position from the waist to the front of the shoulder. The self gripping fastener is the preferred embodiment for fastening and unfastening the ski equipment.

  • Patent number: 4850185
Abstract: A hand held garden implement, namely a rake, contains means for cleaning its own tines of collected leaves, vegetable matter or other adhering material. The head of the rake, containing a plurality of tines, moves as a unit. This movement draws the end prongs or teeth of the tines into tubes extending throughout the length of a cleaning shield. The shield is rigidly affixed to the rake handle. The head and tines are moved longitudinally upwardly and downwardly along the rake handle by means of a hand grip conveniently located near the top of the rake handle so that an operator does not have to stoop and reach down or reverse the orientation of the rake to clean it.

  • Patent number: 4768332
Abstract: An orchard harvester vehicle of the type adapted for supporting and transporting means for gripping and shaking trees is disclosed. The vehicle has a frame having three rectilinear legs fixedly connected at inner ends thereof. Each leg defines a longitudinal axis, which axes intersect at the point of interconnection of the inner leg ends in the shape of a "Y" and form three arcuate sectors subtending arcs which together form a full circle. An operator's cab in the first forward sector has a longitudinal axis which is laterally oblique to the line of general advance. An internal combustion motor is operably connected to hydraulic pumps in the second rearward sector. At least one hydraulic wheel motor drives at least one of three ground engaging and traversing wheels. A wheel is pivotally and rotationally mounted at an outer end of each leg for rotation about horizontal axes normal to the general line of advance.

  • Patent number: 4764999
Abstract: The mechanism of the present invention provides jet sprays of mixed water and air which continuously sweep up and down the spine of the user as he/she sits in the spa. The jets undergo a partial rotation about pivots in arcs of about 1/4 or 1/3 of a circle and then reverse and return. These arcs of spray direct the spray directly against the user's back in their midpoint of rotation and obliquely at the end points. Thus, the pressure of spray as felt by the user is continuously changing. This motion is accomplished by an impeller and worm gear arrangement which converts the energy of the water which is flowing to the jets.
