Abstract: A gravity feed merchandise display device including a plurality of downwardly inclined track assemblies that support a row of bottles by its neck flanges. The forwardmost bottle is prevented from exiting its track by a spring mechanism that must be overcome to remove the bottle from the track assembly on which it is located.
Abstract: This corn harvesting row unit, which can be assembled into a corn header capable of efficiently harvesting individual rows of corn regardless of the row width. This improvement or novel structure is configured to reduce the number of moving parts required for the efficient harvesting of corn and in addition reduces the power requirements. This novel corn unit will assemble as a corn head with any number of rows and wherein each row unit is capable of harvesting, individually the planted row assigned to it. This novel corn row unit permits the efficient gathering of narrow row, larger spacing corn populations, as well as wider rows and closer spacing populations. Efficient harvesting of narrow row corn has not been possible prior to this invention which is universal in that it can handle any row width.
Abstract: A discharge mechanism for meat-comminuting machine is disclosed, which comprises a housing structure and a discharge rotor. The housing structure defines a discharge chamber adapted to receive meat comminuted by the meat-comminuting machine, through a front mouth of the discharge chamber, and defines a back wall of the discharge chamber and a cylindrical wall thereof. The discharge rotor is arranged to be rotatably driven in the discharge chamber for discharging the comminuted meat from the discharge chamber, through an outlet of the cylindrical wall, via centrifugal force.
Abstract: A container holding apparatus is configured for use with an associated piece of testing equipment, such as a torque tester for applying torque to a closure on the container. The holding apparatus includes a pair of selectively positionable gripping members which are mounted on and extend between a pair of drive screws of the apparatus. One of the gripping members is operatively connected with a clamp mechanism, which in turn is mounted on the drive screws. By this arrangement, conjoint rotation of the drive screws moves the gripping members toward and away from each other, with the clamp mechanism facilitating convenient gripping and release of a container after the apparatus is adjusted, by rotation of the drive screws, for the particular size of container to be tested. In the preferred form, the apparatus includes a support plate upon which the container rests as it is releasably gripped and held by the gripping members.

Abstract: A bath seat usable in a tub for infants and small children includes a seat portion with a curved back support mounted thereto. The base includes at least one deformable tub gripping element for removably affixing the seat to a bath tub. The seat includes first and second spaced apart, elongated members which are attached to regions of the back support and extend therefrom. A removable tray is adapted to slidably engage the elongated members. A releasable latch, carried in part on the tray and in part on at least one of the elongated members, locks the tray to the one elongated member in one of a plurality of linearly displaced positions. The seat includes a strut extending between the base and the tray to lockingly engage and support the tray. The strut prevents a child from slipping under the tray and maintains the child in the seat during the bath.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent article comprises an absorbent panel and a backing web secured to the panel. A preferred form of the web comprises an apertured film. The web may also include other components on the apertured film, including adhesive. The apertured film is preferably produced from a solid precursor film. The precursor film comprises a copolymer of ethylene and a comonomer polymerized using a single-site metallocene-type polymerization catalyst. The apertured film is formed from the precursor film so that the apertured film has localized deformations and apertures therein. The apertured film exhibits breathability, strength, and flexibility with an elasticity accommodating stretch or elongation and at least partial recovery.

Abstract: A closure is provided for the opening to a container. The body defines a discharge aperture communicating with the housing. A housing is disposed on the body for movement between a lowered position and an elevated position. The housing defines a dispensing passage for establishing communication between the body discharge aperture and the exterior of the housing. The housing includes a dispensing valve disposed in the dispensing passage for opening to dispense fluid therethrough and for closing to occlude flow. The housing includes an occlusion member or plug between the valve and the body discharge aperture to prevent flow from the discharge aperture into the dispensing passage below the valve when the housing is in the lowered position and to permit flow into the dispensing passage when the housing is in the elevated position.
Abstract: A process for the global control of a drive unit for a gearbox operated by a hydrostatic system, for a vehicle equipped with at least two gears, comprising an appropriate sequence of steps, performed with preset timings, for activating and deactivating electric valves and for varying the displacement of a hydrostatic motor and of a hydrostatic pump in order to shift gear. The various steps of the sequence are controlled by an electronic control unit.
Abstract: A closure is provided for a container having an opening. The closure includes a base for mounting to the container around the opening. A dispensing valve is disposed across the base and defines an orifice which opens to permit flow therethrough in response to increased pressure within the container and closes to shut off flow therethrough upon removal of the increased pressure. A dispersion baffle is included on the base outwardly of the valve. The baffle defines a plurality of dispensing apertures.
Abstract: A removal torque-resistant closure and container assembly is provided with the container having a thread extending around the opening. The closure includes a thread for engaging the container thread. The container includes a projection that extends from the thread root between two adjacent thread crests on the container and that defines an outer edge for temporarily deforming the closure thread during relative rotational movement of the container and closure when the container and closure are screwed together. Upon termination of the screwing action, the container projection edge is engaged with a deformed region of the closure thread so as to resist closure removal by unscrewing.
