  • Patent number: 5860325
Abstract: A transmission system for louver type signs wherein the signs consist of a plurality of multiple faced louvers having indicia defined thereon and the side-by-side relationship of the louvers permits pre-selected faces to define a completed image. The adjacent transmissions are operated by a constantly rotating drive shaft and the louvers may be simultaneously rotated or may sequentially operate in a delayed manner wherein the indicia on the louvers is progressively revealed in a "wave" manner. The drive shafts of adjacent transmissions are interconnected and a plurality of transmissions are operated by a single constantly operating motor drive source, and in the disclosed embodiment, a complete rotation of the transmission's drive shaft produces one-third of a rotation of the output shafts operating the louvers.

  • Patent number: 5826889
Abstract: The invention pertains to electrically operated levelers and stabilizers for vehicles, particularly recreational vehicles, wherein a reversible electric motor extends and retracts telescoping members mounted to the vehicle by a linkage system. Operation of the linkage system through a linkage and slot arrangement automatically pivots the stabilizer to a horizontal storage position and lowers the stabilizer to an operative position during extension of the telescoping members. The links are locked by an over-center relationship when the stabilizer is extended, and automatically unlock from the over-center relationship when the stabilizer members are retracted and raised. A foot at the outer end of the stabilizer automatically pivots between storage and operative positions.

  • Patent number: 5657935
Abstract: A wire dispenser for dispensing coiled wire, such as welding wire, wherein the dispenser uses a wire guiding arm which rotates about the spool upper flange. The wire guide arm is mounted upon a vertical column supported by the spool end flange through a base plate concentrically located upon the spool flange. Selectively usable mounting structure defined on the base plate permits the dispenser to be used with spool end flanges having different sizes of hole dimensions and a cam type locking detent mounted upon the base plate firmly locks the base plate with respect to the spool flange. The wire guiding structure mounted upon the column includes a flexible tube permitting the wire guide to be most efficiently related to various sizes of wire coils and an adjustable arm supporting the flexible tube permits operators of ordinary skill to readily accommodate the dispenser to various sizes of spools.

  • Patent number: 5634604
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing wire from a spool, such as welding wire, wherein the spool axis is vertically oriented and the spool includes end flanges confining the wire coil. A rotatable wire dispensing arm is mounted upon a base inserted in a hole within the upper spool flange and a friction brake interposed between the base and arm controls the rate of arm rotation. An extension in the form of a cam is formed upon the base to selectively increase the friction between the base and flange hole to prevent base rotation, and the dispensing arm includes a tube internally reinforced by a coiled wear sleeve while the entrance end of the wear sleeve is provided with a hard, wear resistant ceramic ring to reduce wear.

  • Patent number: 5601338
Abstract: A seat particularly suitable for industrial applications having a hinged bottom supported upon springs for adjustably resiliently supporting the occupant to absorb vibrations and impact. The springs impose a resilient biasing force upon the seat bottom structure and a conveniently located adjusting knob selectively positions the location of the application of the biasing force with respect to the seat bottom hinge. Accordingly, by adjusting the location of application of the biasing force, the suspension characteristics of the seat bottom may be controlled and preselected with minimum manual exertion and no spring pre-tensioning or pre-compression is required to vary the suspension characteristics.
