Abstract: A power closure system with anti-pinch having a closure, a motor operatively connected to the closure, a sensor operatively producing signals indicative of motor speed, an anti-pinch activator coupled to the sensor and the motor, the anti-pinch activator including a predetermined trigger value; a measured value; a stored value; a comparator for comparing the measured value with the stored value and initiating a pinch response when the difference between the measured value and the stored value is greater than the trigger value; and a predetermined modifying calculation for changing the stored value when the measured value indicates a motor speed less than the motor speed indicated by the stored value.
Abstract: A shift lever device for a motor vehicle is disclosed with a shift lever being operated in a longitudinal and transverse direction. A stop device is disposed in either a vertically or horizontally and vertically oriented track adjacent the shift lever so that in one condition, the shift lever is prevented from movement out of the P shift range and in another condition, the shift lever is permitted to move from the P shift range to one of the N shift range, the R shift range and the 3 D shift range. The shift lever is also prevented from “N” position into “R” position, if the vehicle speed is too high by a reverse gear lock-out device.
Abstract: A latch assembly for use a tire carrier has a wheel plate and a lock bracket and an aperture and a flexible member disposed in the aperture and connected to a wheel plate. The latch assembly has a lock housing, a guide adjacent and a lock arm. The lock arm has one end, another end, a cam surface and a lower cam surface. The one end is pivotally connected to the guide. The lower cam surface extends past the bottom of the lock housing. The weight of the housing acts on a stop member attached to the flexible member, to form a force to urge the lock arms to an unlocked position. When another end is moved toward the lock bracket, the cam surface engages the lock bracket to pivot the lock arm to a locked position so that when the flexible member breaks, the lock arm engages the lock bracket.
