  • Patent number: 4083327
Abstract: A non-uniformly weighted flexible toothed belt is driven to traverse and produce both a forceful combing action on an animal hide in its traversing motion parallel to pulley-to-pulley movement and a varied yieldable pressure against the hide transverse to such traversing motion and so not only removes animal hairs engaged thereby in an automatic and particularly efficient manner, but also provides for hide massaging and oil distribution.

  • Patent number: 4064563
Abstract: A three-fingered panelled smoothly fitted glove provides for uninhibited contact of the skin of the ring and little fingers with a billiard or like table while providing seam-free contact of the index and middle fingers and thumb with the billiard or like cue for controlled slidable support of the cue. An elastic friction pad panel at the ulnar side of the hand improves support of the cue and player by preventing slipping as well as maintaining an adequately firm yet yieldable attachment of the glove to the wearer's hand.

  • Patent number: 4031467
Abstract: A master control unit is placed for operation at each of several radio stations covering large area zones. A distinct audio triggering frequency is provided for each of several defined smaller zones in the large area zones. On notice from the National Weather Bureau or other appropriate agency, as Sheriff's Office, the operator of the master control unit selectively triggers radio frequency receiver assemblies to automatically connect to disconnected loudspeakers in such radio frequency receiver assemblies in any one small area zone, any combination of such zones, or all zones in its watch area to then automatically cause audible notice of any immediately needed warning affecting only that small area zone or any combination of such smaller area zones.

  • Patent number: 4019723
Abstract: A mobile apparatus repeatedly moves the central front opening of a drum and flail compartment thereof over elongated large masses of inoculated manure and moves the drum and flail assembly therein through each of the masses to repeatedly flail it, mix it, cool it and aerate it and, by co-action of a sprayer apparatus, moisten the particles of each resultant mass while in a state of dispersion, and form the resultant moistened particulate mass by flexible skirt members outlining a rear outlet opening into a pile of readily dispersed useful granulated soil conditioner.

  • Patent number: 3999958
Abstract: Particular readily separable particulate sulphur-reactive scavenging materials are heated with sulphur containing particulate coal to extract sulphur from that coal. Reacted portions of the particulate scavenging material are then separated from the particles of coal, using a separating force effective on the scavenging material and which serves to also separate the reacted portions of the scavenging materials.

  • Patent number: 3976276
Abstract: A concrete feed bunk is formed and cured in a series of like dimensionally stable yet expansible multi-surfaced molds. Each mold is separated from a cured concrete portion of the bunk formed by such mold by a first step of automatically splitting the concrete from the mold along vertically extending surfaces of juncture and along horizontally extending surfaces of juncture of mold and cured concrete followed by a second step of raising and concurrently expanding the mold to avoid damage to the cured concrete mass. A novel degree of rigidity of moving mold wall parts provides for the uniformity of the splitting action and surface characteristics of final concrete product and the mold structure provides for automatic and reliable dimensions of the cured concrete mass and rapid operation.

  • Patent number: 3958706
Abstract: Masses of grain are smoothly unloaded from a flat-floored storage building to a below-floor conveyor at an even rate, notwithstanding usual surges in discharge from the upper portions of such grain masses, by an elongated unitary movable above-floor conveyor assembly extending from near a side wall of the storage building to a vertical passage in the floor of that building to the below-floor conveyor. Because the above-floor conveyor assembly evens out irregularities in the flow rate from the mass to the below-floor conveyor, the below-floor conveyor operates without surges thereinto or therefrom. The even rate of flow of the feed to the under-floor conveyor permits rapid spillfree moving of masses of grain to and from different portions of the storage building and to the exterior thereof.

  • Patent number: 3939238
Abstract: Processes for coating concrete bricks with exposed surfaces having sharply delineated portions of contrasting color and/or texture by periodically and regularly forming atomized particles of a viscous cementitious slurry and directing same on to portions of surfaces of each of a plurality of green concrete bricks in groups located stationary in regular fashion for a brief period and thereafter firing the thus coated uncured brick. The processes include steps for rapidly and/or sequentially varying the colors applied to the different groups of bricks during successive cycles of coating the successively treated different groups of such brick.
