  • Patent number: 7037219
Abstract: A soccer training device that comprises a net which covers the large central portion of a soccer goal but leaves limited openings in the upper corners of the goal as well as along each opposite side of the goal which are relatively harder for a goal tender to block. The objective is to train and teach soccer players to kick or otherwise lawfully propel the soccer ball through those relatively harder portions of the goal for a goal tender to block, thereby increasing the likelihood of being able to score.

  • Patent number: 7001229
Abstract: In this specification regarding water vehicle propellers, the gist of the technical disclosure resides in the construction of a propeller having elongated blades which extend in a helical path and longitudinally of the hull of a water vehicle in an unbroken length, singly or in aligned sections following the contour of the hull, for substantially its entire length or that portion of the length of a water vehicle in contact with the body of water when under way. The elongated propellers are rotated on their longitudinal axis. In addition, two of such elongated propellers or aligned sections of such propellers are mounted parallel for rotation in opposite directions either within a tubular housing open at the front and rear or mounted directly adjacent the hull with one or more on either side. Spaced apart longitudinal support members are secured below the elongated propellers to prevent contact with an object or objects from below and to support the propellers and hull above any such objects.

  • Patent number: 6823615
Abstract: A sectional snowplow having a plurality of separate sections, each mounted separately and independently to the snowplow frame for limited movement upwardly and downwardly relative to the sections of the snowplow on either side, whereby one section can rise to scrape over a rise in the surface below that section without causing the sections on either side to also rise above the surface below such other sections. Each section is mounted separately and independently to the snowplow frame by flexible members of a resilient but nevertheless sturdy material such as polyurethane. A preferred material is known in the trade as polyurethane 90 A Shore hardness.

  • Patent number: 6821220
Abstract: An annular dart carrying body and darts received thereon, in which the annular dart carrying body includes radially spaced apart dart receiving portions in which the dart receiving portions have flat portions positioned to come into full facing frictional contact with corresponding flat portions of each respective dart that is received in the dart receiving portions. The flat portions of the dart carrying body may comprise spaced apart cut away flat portions around the circumference of the dart carrying body. The flat portions of the dart carrying body may also be the flat bottom walls of respective recesses that open to the circumference of the dart carrying body to receive respective ones of the darts, with screw threads to enable screwing the darts into the respective recesses. The flat portions of each dart comprise a base portion having a flat bottom wall that comes into full facing frictional contact with the flat portions of the dart receiving portions of the dart carrying body when received therein.

  • Patent number: 6488229
Abstract: A toilet roll dispenser primarily for use in portable toilets, comprising a housing having a first toilet paper roll supported on a mandrel in position for use, and a second or reserve toilet paper roll on the mandrel in side-by-side relationship. The reserve roll is received in the cavity of a use-prevention receptacle which is also supported on the mandrel in co-axial relationship with the reserve toilet paper roll. The side walls of the housing restrict lateral movement of the toilet paper rolls so the reserve toilet paper roll cannot be moved laterally out of the use-prevention receptacle until the first toilet paper roll has been used up and its paper core removed from the mandrel. While the reserve roll is in the cavity of the use-prevention receptacle it cannot be used. After the first roll has been completely used up, it is then possible to reach the paper core of the used up first roll and tear it away from the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 6349946
Abstract: A sealing member to seal the opening in the side wall of a chamber such as a catch basin through which a laterally extending member such as a drain pipe is positioned and connected. The sealing gasket comprises an annular ring having a cylindrical bore to receive such drain pipe for example, an annular groove cut into the annular ring which divides the portions adjacent the groove into a first annual flange on one side of the groove and a second annular flange on the opposite side of the groove. The sealing gasket is made of a flexible compressible material. It is worked into the opening to be sealed by flexing the gasket in such a way as to insert the peripheral edge of the wall surrounding the opening into the annular groove, whereupon one of the annular flanges is in sealing bearing relationship against the outer surface of the wall around the opening and the other annular flange is in sealing bearing relationship against the inner surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 6189976
Abstract: This invention comprises a laterally extending spreader pan having a short longitudinal dimension of about six inches, pivotally mounted on a lateral shaft secured to a trailer or truck box adjacent to the rear edge of the box floor. The spreader pan is pivotable between an operating position where the pan is substantially co-planar with the floor of the truck or trailer box and a non-operating position where the spreader pan is pivoted downward to a position that is substantially normal to the box floor and which does not extend beyond the rear edge of the truck or trailer box. An operating lever is provided on the lateral shaft with the free end of the lever connected to the plunger of a pneumatic cylinder controlled from the cab of the truck. When the plunger is extended the shaft and spreader pan is rotated or pivoted upwardly into its operating position, co-planar with the floor of the box.
