Abstract: A case (1) comprises a pile of bank notes (2). An air supply circuit (13, 14, 15) forms a jet of air (16) in the vicinity of an edge of the first note (2a).In order to separate the note (2a) from its pile (2) in a simple manner, a succession of states of pressure and of reduced pressure is created downstream of the edge (d) of the opening (17). The interruption in profile creates a reduced pressure over the face of the note (2a) in the vicinity of this opening (17). The edge of the note is then raised and enters the jet of air (16). A change of state occurs and a pressure applies the note (2a) against the moving rollers (5) while holding the following note applied against the pile (2).

Abstract: An alarm device for doors having in series an electric supply, such as batteries, three switches and a relay. The relay is locked upon the simultaneous closing of the three switches and actuates an alarm circuit. The first and second switches are respectively closed and open when the door is closed and respectively open and closed when the door is fully open. The three switches are closed during the opening and closing of the door and when the door is ajar and the door bolt is retracted. The third switch is controlled by the bolt and is closed except when the bolt is retracted.

Abstract: An eyeball microscope used for observing cornea endothelcells and the like, having an objective lens structure including an optical tip member which is formed of a material with lower refractive index than glass in order to avoid the undesired effect of reflection of illuminating light from the front surface of the optical tip member, and an adaptor for stably holding an impregnating liquid between the optical tip member and the cornea; the use of which will result in substantial reduction of reflection from the cornea surface and a corresponding increase in the field of view and resolution.

Abstract: A double shear beam strain gage load cell having an essentially U-shaped structure with a movable element disposed therebetween, the movable element being coupled to the legs of the U-shaped structure by a pair of shear beams carrying strain gages. The load cell may also include overload protective means to prevent damage to the shear beams.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a rotary compressor for a gas and liquid mixture and comprising a disk-like rotor disposed in a fixed pump housing and having an annular peripheral gas and liquid channel. The channel includes an annular radially outer space for an entrapped liquid annulus and a radially inner, concentric annular space for gas, which is defined by a liquid trap-forming side wall which penetrates into the liquid annulus space. The gas space is divided into suction and compression chambers by one or more transverse walls connected to the rotor and radially from inwards penetrating into the liquid annulus space, and by planar liquid jets which are deflected from the rotating liquid annulus in the space therefor by means of one or more blades which are fixedly anchored in the pump housing and extend radially along the liquid annulus space.

Abstract: A coin dispenser having a plurality of columns holding coins of different denominations in linear alignment one with the others, a plurality of extraction fingers each moving successively beneath the stacks and a cam arranged for movement in alignment with and beneath the fingers with movement of the cam being effected by engagement with one of the fingers when coins are not to be extracted and is displaced relative to the fingers beneath a selected column when a coin to be extracted therefrom to permit a cam follower carried by a finger to engage and be displaced by the cam and thereby dislodge a coin carried by the selected column.

Abstract: A key plate and hook assembly having an elongated tubular housing with a plurality of transverse slots to carry and retain key hooks each having an enlarged end portion, the slots each have an enlarged central portion to permit removal of the hook. A locking member having a plurality of slots separated by transverse ribs is slidably disposed in the housing and in one position the ribs underlie the enlarged central portion to retain the hooks in position, and in another position permit the key hooks to be removed. The front wall of the housing has a concave central portion so that the key hooks will normally assume positions at one end or the other of the housing slots depending on the physical position of the housing.

Abstract: A combination weighing device, used for grouping a mass of articles having substantial variance in their weights into groups each having a substantially constant total weight, by weighing some of these articles by a plurality of weighing balances having automatic article loading and unloading means, summing up the measured weights successively in accordance with a predetermined set of combinations of the balances and, when the sum falls in a predetermined range of weight, supplying control signals to the unloading means of the corresponding balances to collect the articles from them and when no control signal is supplied to the unloading means due to lack of desired combined weight, the loading means of the weighing balance carrying the least weight is automatically actuated to add some articles to the balance to make it possible to obtain the desired combined weight.
