  • Patent number: 5805312
Abstract: An image copying system is disclosed which has a thermal head energized at a strobe current supply time rate corresponding to a current head temperature according to a preset strobe current supply time rate control characteristics. In copying operation at a standard speed, a read sensor 211 reads an image by performing N main scans in one sub scan. A signal processor 221 validates the image signal thus read once every N scans according to a selection signal from a mode control circuit 401. A record circuit 311 having a thermal head performs one main scan every sub scan. During a copying operation at a speed N times the standard speed, the sub scan speed is made N times and the read sensor 211 reads the image by performing one main scan every sub scan and the signal processor 221 makes the read image signal always valid by the selection signal. The record device 311 performs one main scan every sub scan. A single A/D converter is used for A/D converting head temperature as well as other output signal.

  • Patent number: 5503198
Abstract: A pneumatic pellet transportation apparatus loads a predetermined quantity of dry ice pellets into an empty container while simultaneously evacuating the containers of dead air. The apparatus includes an aerator for fluidizing the dry ice pellets into a moving stream of compressed air. A container interface unit directs the fluidized dry ice pellets into an opening provided in the container. A method of using the pneumatic pellet transportation apparatus includes deactivating an auger well before the aerator is deactivated in order to clear the vacuum insulated transport conduit for efficient utilization of dry ice pellet resources.

  • Patent number: 5409538
Abstract: A method for irradiating a substrate such as a semiconductor substrate, coated with a photoresist, with light to measure variations in optical properties, such as reflectivity, refractive index, transmittance, polarization, spectral transmittance, for determining an optimum photoresist coating condition, an optimum photoresist baking condition, an optimum developing condition or an optimum exposure energy quantity, and forming a photoresist pattern according to the optimum condition. A system for the exposure method, a controlling method of forming a photoresist film by use of the exposure method, and a system for the controlling method, are useful for stabilization of the formation or treatment of the photoresist film, and ensure less variations in the pattern size.
