  • Patent number: 4263715
Abstract: A mounting plate is formed from plastic and with a first one of its planar surfaces substantially flat and otherwise formed to be affixed to a dental model. A connecting rib, formed to extend out from the other planar surface of the mounting plate, and along its entire length, has a modified "T" shaped configuration with a vertical leg extending up from the planar surface and a cross-arm extending out to each side of the leg so as to form a groove to each side of the vertical leg between the planar surface of the plate and the opposed surface of the cross-arm. A slot is formed through the central rib of each articulator with a shoulder extending from each wall of the slot into the slot but so as to leave a narrow passage sized to receive the vertical leg of the modified "T" shaped rib.

  • Patent number: 4196604
Abstract: A pick-proof lock cylinder is disclosed wherein a set of lock pins accommodates the cut notches of a key and biasing means are angularly disposed to the lock pins to abut and hold the ends of the pins in locking positions. Attempts to pick the set of pins are frustrated by the interference of the biasing means. The biasing means are offset to the axis of the locking pins so that upon withdrawal of the key, the biasing means keeps the locking pins in raised condition. At least one of the locking pins is in abutment with a driver pin, so that the driver pin is disposed outside the shear line of the lock cylinder in its housing, and whereupon key insertion, the lock pin driver pin abutment line is coincident with the lock cylinder shear line so as to permit rotation of the cylinder in its housing.

  • Patent number: 4181379
Abstract: The invention provides a bearing structure with a lubricant circulation that does not depend on gravity. An absorbent lubricant reservoir contacts a conical shaft portion so as to convey lubricant from the reservoir to a ball or like bearing. Lubricant passing the bearing is flung off a rotating flange by centrifugal force to a collector and then fed back by wicks to the reservoir. Air circulation is also provided by fan blades on the flange drawing air through the bearing from the reservoir side and returning it through passages around the bearing.
