Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for the dissociation of water into H.sub.2 and O.sub.2 gas. The system and method disclose a reaction vessel having at least one radiolysis apparatus, at least one photolysis apparatus, and at least one electrolysis apparatus, all in communication with said reaction vessel. The reaction vessel has a body, a first end and a second end defining an interior. Further, the reaction vessel has an inlet for receiving water from a water supply into its interior and at least two outlet ports to allows H.sub.2 or O.sub.2 to egress therefrom. Still further, at least one catalyst is located within the interior of the reaction vessel. The radiolysis apparatus, photolysis apparatus, and electrolysis apparatus, in combination the with the catalyst provides for the dissociation of water into H.sub.2 and O.sub.2.

Abstract: There is provided herein a system and method for automatically creating digital video works within a remote server based on digital image content contained in a user's camera cell phone or attached memory card. In the preferred arrangement, the cell phone owner will begin by selecting digital content (e.g., still images and/or video clips) that is to appear in the video work. Optionally, the user will also select a video theme or style that is to be given to the video. The details of the user's choices and the selected video images will be sent to a remote server where the video work will be automatically created. The completed video will then be transmitted back to the user for viewing on his or her own cell phone, thereby creating a custom video work without requiring interaction with a desktop or laptop personal computer.

Abstract: A mechanical fence post driver for attachment to a lift arm of a standard front-loader which includes a mounting plate, guide tube, and roller latch assembly. The guide tube receives a tee or other fence post inserted therein such that it contacts the mounting plate. The fence post is held in place by a roller latch assembly which compresses the post against the rearward side of the guide tube. Insertion of the fence post into the ground is accomplished by lowering the lift arm while the post is held within the guide cylinder. A rotation plate assembly may be positioned between the mounting plate and guide cylinder to provide a convenient mechanism to rotate the guide cylinder in relation to the mounting plate.

Abstract: A composite web and process for manufacture from post-industrial scrap wherein the fibers are pre-opened and cut to an average fiber length of about 4 mm. A scrap fiber component and a cellulosic component of such fibers are blended into a fiber furnish. The scrap fiber component includes at least 15% synthetic fibers and may include a blend of natural fibers, high melting point synthetic fibers, and low melting point synthetic fibers. The cellulosic component may include post-industrial cotton fibers which may be refined before blending with the scrap fiber component. The fiber furnish is processed into an intermediate web such as by a drylaid or a wetlaid nonwoven process. The intermediate web is saturated with a latex binding agent and pressed and/or dried to form a composite web capable of further processing into molded or formed consumer or industrial products. The process is capable of producing a high basis weight composite web.

Abstract: In accordance with a first preferred aspect of the instant invention, there is provided a patient monitor that is automatically disabled when a caregiver enters a room and then is automatically reactivated after the caregiver leaves. According to a first preferred embodiment, it will remain disabled during the time the caregiver is proximate to the patient/monitor and then will automatically reactivate after the caregiver has moved away.

Abstract: An apparatus for positioning poultry, meat, or fish product pieces on a conveyor and a system and method which utilize the inventive apparatus. The inventive apparatus comprises an array of side-by-side upwardly arched product channels and a plurality of catch members mounted for rotating through the product channels such that they lift and pull the product pieces through the upwardly arched product channels and then release the product pieces onto the conveyor.

Abstract: There is provided herein a system and method for creating and storing encrypted digital media files that are compatible with a base audio work and that provide the artist some degree of control over how the encrypted files are used. The encrypted files will preferably be stored on an audio CD along with conventional/unencrypted audio in such a fashion that the user will be able to immediately play the audio material. Preferably, the encrypted information will include auxiliary audio information such as additional music tracks, remixes of some of the songs, and other materials that allow a user to create remixes. Additionally, the creator of the encrypted material will be able to specify rules that define how the user can use the encrypted information. Preferably, the encrypted information will be created by the artist during the creation of the CD's unprotected audio content.

Abstract: There is provided herein a system and method for automatically aligning audio and video tracks of a multimedia work, wherein in one preferred embodiment change points or “markers” are located in the accompanying audio work and then transitions are constructed around “breaks” or discontinuities in the video work to match the audio markers. This produces the impression that the audio and video tracks are in synchronization. In another preferred embodiment, video clips around the audio markers are shortened or lengthened according to predetermined rules to cause the video work to be aligned with the audio work.

Abstract: A fishing apparatus comprising a flat, essentially vertical game board, a fish support mounted behind the game board, one or more flat, relatively thin fish-shaped members releasably mounted on the fish support, each fish-shaped member having a tapered mouth at on end thereof and a circular snare opening connecting to the mouth through a guide slot, a casting line, a plug adapted to be connected to the end of the casting line so that the plug and line can be cast over the fish-shaped members, each plug being made of resilient material and being provided with a nose piece adjacent to the connection of the line to the plug, the nose piece being receivable in the snare opening, the game board having a gap therein which is in alignment with the guide slot in the fish-shaped member, the gap in the game board being associated with a plurality of doors which are mounted on hinge axes for swinging movement when a fish-shaped member is pulled against the doors, whereby, when the plug is pulled into the circular snare

Abstract: The present invention relates to a foam reduction agent comprising low vapor pressure dibasic esters and a method of using a liquid to contact with polystyrene foam wherein the higher boiling temperature of the low vapor pressure dibasic esters and contact with the liquid provides a volume reduction process and less evaporation loss as well as safer transportation of the chemicals and the polystyrene in its reduced state. The resulting reduced sludge is also recyclable to superior quality raw polystyrene foam beads and the reduction agents are recoverable for future use. The resulting sludge also has unexpected beneficial uses heretofore unknown as a waterproofing agent, a paint stripper, as a graffiti remover, as an extender of the life of concrete, as an adhesive remover, as a stain remover, as a scuff mark remover, and as a general degreaser.

Abstract: A three-wedge double block isolation chamber including a body with an internal chamber bounded by an inlet and an outlet having a wedge assembly positioned in the chamber. The wedge assembly may be configured as either a blind wedge assembly to block the flow of liquid through a pipeline; a flow-through wedge assembly to permit flow of liquid through a pipeline; or a meter wedge assembly to meter the flow of liquid through the pipeline. The wedge assembly includes an upstream wedge, a downstream wedge, and a force wedge. The wedge assembly seats in the internal chamber of the body. The upstream wedge and the downstream wedge each include a seal and are positioned respectively against the inlet and outlet.

Abstract: A method of managing a storm water or other open channel system wherein (a) the system is divided into a plurality of channel segment lengths for evaluation; (b) an inventory based upon a standardized set of items is conducted for each channel segment to identify any and each of the items which exist in the channel segment; and (c) a standardized channel condition index value is determined for each channel segment based upon the inventory.

Abstract: An improved exhaust system for a diesel engine and an improved overhead exhaust manifold segment therefore wherein the improvement comprises a plurality of catalytic converter elements removably positionable in the overhead exhaust manifold over the outlet ends of a series of exhaust port legs extending upwardly to the bottom of the overhead exhaust manifold from the cylinder exhaust ports.

Abstract: There is provided herein a system and method for enabling a digital photo device to create pictures that contain live images that have been combined with predefined templates in real time, wherein the user selects graphical or effect templates which have been provided by the software developer. Preferably the combination of the templates and subject image will be displayed in real-time so that the user will know exactly how the final product will appear before the image is captured. Preferably, a preview screen will be used to display the combined templates/subject image in real time and the final digital image is similarly captured, calculated, and stored in real time.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of treating food items having muscle protein and a product produced by the inventive apparatus and method. The inventive method preferably utilizes the inventive apparatus to (a) continuously press the food items using a pliable material which conforms to and at least partially surrounds the food items when pressing and/or (b) infuse the food items with a treatment liquid preferably by impacting the food items while they are at least partially suspended in the solution.
