Abstract: A system for extracting liquid from a mass comprising a portable platform having an upper surface, a system mass input, a polymer feeding and blending system on the upper surface, a liquid extraction assembly on the upper surface, and piping having a first section between the system mass input and the polymer feeding and blending system, and a second section between the polymer feeding and blending system and the liquid extraction assembly. The system is configured to have mass inputted into the system mass input, transport the mass to the polymer feeding and blending system through the first section of the piping, inject polymer into the mass in the polymer feeding and blending system, and transport the mass from the polymer feeding and blending system to the liquid extraction assembly. Pressure from mass forced into the liquid extraction assembly forces liquid in the mass to exit the mass.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for attaching guide means (106) to a flexible sheet (100), preferably as part of a shading system for a vehicle, and to a device provided therefor. Holding regions (102a, 102b), spaced apart from one another in a Y-direction, of a flexible sheet (100) extending in an X-direction and a Y-direction are spaced apart from one another by being acted upon with a predetermined pretensioning force (Fv) acting in the Y-direction, with the result that a pretension state is achieved. Subsequently, in a further processing state which corresponds to the pretension state or to a pretension state relieved by the amount of a predetermined relief distance (S3) in the Y-direction with respect to the pretension state, guide means (106) extending parallel to one another in the X-direction and spaced apart from one another in the Y-direction are fastened to the sheet (100).

Abstract: A wave-motion reducing structure comprises wave-motion reducing means (30) suitable for being laid on a coastal bed and restraining means (20, 22) suitable for restraining the wave-motion reducing means on the coastal bed. The wave-motion reducing means (30) are arranged so as to be inclined, in use, against the direction of the sea current which strikes them. A wave-motion reducing system comprises a plurality of wave-motion reducing structures arranged in a row lengthwise and in a manner such that the wave-motion reducing means (30) adopt a substantially parallel configuration and oppose the motion of the current.
Abstract: A sliding device 1 includes a swash plate 3 rotated in association with a rotating shaft 2 and semispherical shoes 4 sliding on the swash plate 3. The semispherical shoes 4 are formed of a ferrous material and the swash plate 3 is manufactured using high-strength brass as a material. On a sliding surface 4A of the shoe 4, a large number of minute annular expandingly projecting parts 7? are formed by laser hardening and a lubricating oil passage 10? consisting of a reticular concave part is also formed. Thereby, a sliding device 1 having excellent seizure resistance as compared with conventional sliding devices can be provided.
Abstract: A powered surgical handpiece includes a chuck assembly with a chuck having apertures. The chuck assembly is surrounded by a collar having slots on an inner face. The apertures and slots receive balls. In use, the collar is moved axially toward the handpiece against a spring force so that the chuck is viewable. A base tab of a cutting accessory is inserted into the chuck. When the collar is released, detents of the base tab are radially aligned with at least two balls and apertures. When a biasing spring moves the collar outwardly, the respective balls move radially inwardly into the detents to fixedly lock the cutting accessory. The handpiece includes a single eccentric gear shaft that receives a rotary force at one end and moves about an orbital path at a second end. An oscillator receiver of an oscillator receives the barrel. Movement of the barrel about the orbital path results in oscillation of the oscillator about its axis.
Abstract: An armrest for a chair is provided which has an improved anti-rotation and mechanical connection between an armrest body and a frame tube of the chair. The end of the frame tube is mechanically deformed or is shaped so as to have a non-circular profile with a central opening defined by inwardly projecting arcuate surfaces of the frame tube. The armrest includes a cooperating, non-circular socket which fits onto the frame tube wherein a suitable fastener is threaded downwardly into direct, self-threading engagement with an upper opening formed in the end of the frame tube.

Abstract: A wall track system is provided with overhead storage cabinets or other furniture components to accommodate mounting of the furniture components in multiple configurations in a minimum of space. This system includes wall tracks which have two opposite side faces with two different slot patterns that accommodate two different mounting orientations for the furniture components.
Abstract: The present method of grinding side ridge line portion and a side surface of concrete blocks having the flowing steps: providing a rotating shaft of the grinding machine to be rotationally supported by lower ends of two vertical bars facing each other in the direction in which a conveyor is advanced and suspended from a frame above the conveyor and positioning an axis of the rotating shaft to be laterally and above the conveyor, moving the concrete blocks to a position where it is ground by the conveyor and then positioning the concrete blocks to make side ridge line portions on the bottom surfaces thereof protrude from the conveyor, and grinding the side ridge line portions and/or side surfaces on the upper or the bottom surface of the concrete block by lowering the grinding machine suspended from above the concrete block, the side ridge line portions and/or the side surfaces of the concrete blocks are ground by abutting the grinding machine against the surface of concrete blocks, while at the same time rota
