  • Patent number: 6055923
Abstract: An anchor bag and system for use with a rode and an anchor having an anchor stock, an anchor shank, an anchor crown, and an anchor fluke. The bag has an opening at one end, a closed section at the opposite end, and an inner chamber for accepting, properly coiling, and stowing the rode. The anchor is retained on the outside of anchor bag by a releasable shank support and by a separate fluke support. The opening of the bag is selectably closable by a pull string. The closed section has a reinforced rode passage through which the bitter end of the rode is retained. A plurality of drainage portals are situated on the outer surface of the bag. Carry handles are positioned on the bag such that the composite weight of the anchor bag system (with anchor and rode stowed therein) is distributed equally on either side of the center points of the carry handles. The rode is chainlessly attached to the anchor and, from the anchor end, has internal weights thereon extending a distance of between approximately 2.5% to 12.

  • Patent number: 6036147
Abstract: A pole connector and a detachable sectional pole wherein the pole connector, at one end, is securely insertable into one end of a section of the pole, while another end of the connector defines a set of at least three fins protruding from that pole section for removably attaching to a mouth of another pole section. The pole connector may be made of two to four or more segments. The sectional pole has more than one section, each with a pole connector securably inserted into one end with the other end being a mouth adapted to removably connect to a pole connector protruding from another pole section. The sectional pole has a support member adapted to attach to an external object, maintain approximate vertical stability, and protect the external object from damage while so attached. The sectional pole also has one or more holding members which are either concealable within the sectional pole or removable from the sectional pole and which are adapted to hold external objects thereon.

  • Patent number: 5993646
Abstract: A grease trap having an inlet member, a discharge member, a plurality inner walls defining chambers within, and a relief member for flushing accumulated waste matter. In general order of fluid flow, the chambers include an inlet chamber, a preliminary chamber, an outlet chamber, a discharge chamber, and a reservoir chamber. A first orifice on one inner wall permits passage of fluid from the inlet chamber to the preliminary chamber, a second orifice on another inner wall permits passage of fluid from the preliminary chamber to the outlet chamber, and a third orifice on another inner wall permits passage of fluid from the outlet chamber to the discharge chamber. The relief member has a cap and is coupled to the reservoir chamber. The inner walls defining the chambers are of a height approximately between 70 Length % to 95 Length % of the height of the outer walls of the device to permit for a waste accumulation layer.

  • Patent number: 5967559
Abstract: The present invention involves a patient identifier processed and displayed on a printable medium and a method of generating the identifier. The identifier is generated from a block of identifying information in a health-care facility's data base. It is structured in segments for rapid visual or tactile discernment of patient-specific information, treatment-specific information, and facility-specific information for a particular patient. The identifier takes the form of different symbols, alpha-numerics, and geochromes (color and shapes). Patient-specific information has a numeric portion of two or more numbers with at least one of the numbers being enlarged and positioned at an outer edge of the identifier, an alpha portion of two or more letters with at least one of the letters being enlarged and positioned at an opposite outer edge. Between the alpha and numeric portion is a geochrome segment made of one or more colors in combination with one or more shapes or one or more patterns.
