Abstract: Apparatus is provided for controllably delivering liquid, preferably foam producing liquid, from a remote supply tank to a holding tank for replenishment of liquid in the holding tank. The apparatus utilizes a pressurized air source of a vehicle to supply the energy to move the liquid. A liquid level sensing, signaling element is adapted to automatically control the filling of the holding tank and terminating operation when the holding tank is no longer being replenished.

Abstract: Apparatus is provided for restraining an individual in the cargo area of a vehicle. Such restraints can be utilized to protect medical technicians in ambulances, fire rescue trucks and other emergency vehicles. The apparatus is constructed so that the user can control the amount of restraint on his various body movements while he medically treats a patient.

Abstract: A holding apparatus for eye glasses which have magnets connected to the left and right edges thereof. The holding apparatus has a flexible retaining member for positioning about a users neck. A holding member magnet is connected to each end of the retaining member via a pivotal element which is of sufficient flexibility for moving and orienting the polarity of the holding element magnets for attraction and connection to a respective eye glass magnet when placed in close proximity thereto.
Abstract: An apparatus for throwing an object is mechanically operated and utilizes spring tension to throw an object from a tube which is connected to the spring. The apparatus comprises a base, a frame, apparatus utilized for maintaining the frame at an operating position, a tube and at least one spring. An operator inserts an object to be thrown into the tube, manually moves the tube to a preselected cocked position against spring tension and then releases the tube.
Abstract: A telescopically moveable support member has a work element connected to a first end thereof. A rail and slotted collar arrangement is associated with the support member and bumpers are connected to the work element to prevent damage to both the work element and vehicle to which connected during movement from the extended position to the retracted position.

Abstract: An improvement in a thermally insulating component for an engine part, made by sintering from ceramic materials, comprises, the thermally insulating component having a composition, consisting of a mixture of zirconium oxide in the range of about 5% to about 25% by volume and mullite in the range of about 75% to about 95% by volume. Further, the mixture of zirconium oxide and mullite is obtained by chemically mixing the zirconium oxide and mullite in their molecular states, rather than mechanically mixing them. Another feature of this invention includes, forming said thermally insulating component by slip casting and pressureless sintering the mixture of zirconium oxide and mullite at a temperature no greater than 1700.degree. C. This improvement in a thermally insulating component for an engine part, made from a mullite-zirconia ceramic composite, embodying the present invention, is particularly useful in making flame decks for cylinder heads, and insulating coverings for pistons and exhaust ports.

Abstract: A controllable animal access system connectable to the door of a building which has an opening covered by a pivotally moveable animal door.
