  • Patent number: 4737738
Abstract: A resonant cavity arranged for an electron beam to pass therethrough, is made of two spaced apart parallel substantially planar members movable with respect to each other in a direction perpendicular to their major surfaces, at least one of said members having a delay line structure on its inner face within the gap between said two members. Means are arranged for moving the members relative to each other so as to vary the spacing between said members, whereby the oscillation frequency is tuned easily. The resonant cavity can be used to realize wide-band extended interaction oscillators and klystron amplifiers.

  • Patent number: 4726495
Abstract: A packaging for a product in a powder form including an upper housing, a co-axial lower housing a plug positioned internally and functioning in conjunction with the lower housing, and a tapered middle part for temporarily engaging the lower end section of the assembly including the upper housing and plug to the lower housing such that the assembly can be closed. A stop is also provided which restricts the axial sliding of the assembly and determines the maximum opened position of the assembly. A means is also provided to block the packing in the closed position which prevents axial sliding of the assembly but permits axial swiveling of the assembly in relation to the lower housing.

  • Patent number: 4720691
Abstract: A rectilinear waveguide junction apparatus in which the input and output guides are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the apparatus. This apparatus is characterized in that it takes the form of a parallelipiped guide the internal volume of which is divided up by metal partitions which form two parallel input guides, two parallel output guides and a main intermediate guide of same section as the parallelipiped guide. This apparatus is used in very high frequency circuits, for example the supply circuits for satellite or radar antennae.

  • Patent number: 4713780
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the electronic delivery of a document, originated at a local site by a source which has a printer output that normally is connected to a printer, to one or more remote locations having printers or display devices which may differ from the printer normally connected to the printer output of the document generating source. Printer command signals which normally are provided at the printer output are converted to character and position data which represent the respective characters and their horizontal and vertical positions on each page of the document. The character and position data are transmitted to a remote location, either directly or via a distribution unit which transmits a document to one or more remote locations, whereat the data is reconverted to a form of driving a printer or other display device, resulting in a line-for-line conforming copy of the original.

  • Patent number: 4706874
Abstract: A fluid packaging means comprises tubular side walls and end walls disposed at the ends thereof, forming a bottom and a top, wherein the top comprises thermoplastic material without a carrier material, is injection moulded to the outer edge of the tube along that edge and has a pouring means, and the bottom is quadrangular and has triangular flaps which are folded over to lie against at least one adjacent panel. In order to provide such a packaging means with a particularly advantagoeus bottom, the invention proposes that at least two mutually oppositely disposed triangular flaps of the bottom are folded inwardly into the plane of the bottom or outwardly on to the side wall, about the lower edge between the bottom and the side wall, and fixed in that position.
