    Abstract: A digitally controlled oscillator includes an adjustable signal generating circuit adapted to generate an oscillation signal. A feedback loop receives the oscillation signal from the adjustable signal generating circuit. The feedback loop detects error in the oscillation signal and produces an error signal based on the error. The control logic circuit receives the error signal from the feedback loop and maintains the oscillation signal within a predetermined error range. Also, a state device that is connected to the adjustable signal generating circuit maintains a previous operating state of the adjustable signal generating circuit when the digitally controlled oscillator is temporarily powered down.

    Abstract: A method and structure for the invention includes an integrated memory structure having a built-in test portion. The integrated memory structure has memory cells, bitlines and wordlines connected to the memory cells, wordline decoders connected to a plurality of the wordlines, bitline restore devices connected to the bitlines for charging the bitlines during read and write operations, and a clock circuit connected to the wordlines. During a test mode the wordline decoders simultaneously select multiple wordlines that the bitline restore devices maintain in an active state and the clock circuit maintains th multiple wordlines and the bitline restore devices in an active state for a period in excess of a normal read cycle. The invention also includes transistors which are connected to the memory cells. The transistors include bitline contacts which are stressed during the test mode.

    Abstract: A thick film fuse assembly for high voltage, high amperage, high reliability applications. In a first embodiment the fuse assembly consists of an insulative substrate on which a parallel array of low mass thick film fusible elements are disposed. Thick film contact pads permit attachment of lead wires in electrical contact with the fusible elements. The fusible array is covered with a coating of arc suppressant glass. In a second embodiment of the fuse assembly, the fusible elements comprise thick film end portions and upstanding conductive wires which are positioned above and away from the insulative substrate. The arc suppressant glass surrounds each of the upstanding wires which permits higher amperage capacity.

    Abstract: An extension of the two phase commit protocol allows distributed participation among physically distant agents independent of the communications mechanism being used in a data processing system. An extra stage of processing is added to the two phase commit protocol called End Phase One Processing (EPOP) which enables a distribution of the coordinator function across systems using any communication mechanism. EPOP is an extra stage in which a participant can receive control. In this extra stage, a participant flows two phase commit protocol sequences to distributed systems. The communication mechanism is used in such a way that it becomes part of a distributed coordinator. The coordinator itself does not need knowledge of other systems. The extra stage of processing is enabled by an operating system service called Enable End Phase One Exit Processing (EEPOEP). EEPOEP causes an extension of two phase commit protocol to be used on the issuing system.
