Abstract: An absorbent printed paper web and methods for making the printed web, the web having a visually discernible larger pattern, which can be a logo, on at least one surface formed essentially only of a paper web and a strengthening, colored bonding material. The printed web having the larger pattern can be made using the same bonding material and process used to print the background pattern. A double recrepe process using an improved Gravure roll may be used to print both logo and background. One method includes using a Gravure roll having deep depressions for printing a geometric background pattern, which can be a cross hatch pattern defining unprinting surface areas between the repeating deep depressions. The Gravure roll can also have shallow depressions in the reverse image of a logo to be printed, where the shallow depressions can have contiguous logo areas much larger than the size of the repeating deep depressions or unprinting surface areas in the background pattern.

Abstract: Access opening seal for attachment to the lip of an access opening having an exposed edge, particularly an access opening of a personal watercraft. The seal includes a top portion and a side portion and may further include a bottom portion with the side portion being between the top and bottom portions. The seal portions cooperate to define an interior surface and exterior surfaces. The seal may be affixed to the lip of an access opening with the interior surface of the top portion abutting the outer wall of a personal watercraft top deck or other structure and with the side portion positioned along and covering the exposed edge. Where a bottom portion is provided, the bottom portion abuts the inner wall of the top deck or other structure. The seal may be formed of a polymeric or other material and cooperates with a storage compartment and/or cover to form a watertight seal. The seal may be affixed to the lip of the access opening, with an adhesive or mechanical fastener.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a photo journal scrapbook which combines the attributes of a photo album, a scrapbook, and a journal in a single book. The book has a number of pages, a front and back cover, and a binder to hold the binder and pages together. The book may also include pocket pages to include larger items, and can be supplemented by the addition of pop-in pages by the user. Each page of the photo journal scrapbook has two different sides so that when the photo journal scrapbook is opened, frames for displaying photographs are present on one page, while lines with text prompts are present on the other page. This facilitates the inclusion of textual description alongside the included photographs. The photo journal scrapbook also utilizes variable size frames that can be altered to fit photographs of a variety of sizes.

Abstract: There is provided a framework for a construction enclosure system comprising a plurality of brackets, a plurality of rigid elongated frame members, and a plurality of reinforcement members. The brackets are adapted to be attached to a structure under construction. The frame members are adapted to be retained by the brackets in a desired spatial relationship with an outer face of the structure. The frame members are adapted to retain one or more sheet-like enclosure panels. The reinforcement members are adapted to be secured against respective frame members to increase the rigidity of such frame members. One embodiment of the invention provides a frame member comprising a pair of elongated bodies adapted to be retained in a mated configuration to cooperatively define first and second channels therebetween, wherein each channel is adapted to retain one edge portion of a sheet-like enclosure panel.
Abstract: Ultrasound measurement of bone quality using nonlinear analysis in combination with or alternatively using shear waves provide improved information about human bone conditions. Surface waves also provide a novel method to estimate shear wave velocity.
Abstract: A punch guide assembly is provided for removably carrying a stripper plate. The punch guide assembly comprises a punch guide and a stripper plate guide movable axially with respect to the punch guide. The stripper plate guide has a locked position wherein the stripper plate is secured to the punch guide assembly and an unlocked position wherein the stripper plate can be readily removed from the punch guide assembly. The stripper plate guide is resiliently biased axially toward its unlocked position yet is restrained against axial movement relative to the punch guide when in its locked position.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for concealing a cleaning device such as a toilet plunger within a toilet flush tank. A modified toilet plunger has been designed to include a hinge so that the plunger cup can pivot on the end of the plunger handle, thereby taking up less space. The folded toilet plunger is secured to the inside of the toilet flush tank by a holder, preferably on the toilet flush tank cover, so that the toilet plunger is readily accessible yet out of sight and will drain into the toilet flush tank after use.
Abstract: The present invention provides a coating for a transparent substrate which exhibits a “neutral” color through a wide range of angles of incidence of light. The coating employs a base coat adjacent the transparent substrate having a thickness of no more than about 275 ? and may include two reflective metal layers having an intermediate layer of an anti-reflective metal oxide therebetween and an outer anti-reflective layer of metal oxide over the second reflective metal layer. If so desired, the coating of the invention may include an abrasive-resistant overcoat as its outermost layer. This overcoat is desirably formed of an abrasive-resistant metal oxide, such as zinc oxide applied at a thickness which does not significantly affect the optical properties of said coated substrate.

Abstract: A semi-automatic gas pilot clean-out device and a gas pilot with the device useful in agricultural brooders and other appliances that utilize a gas pilot as an ignition source. The device has a plunger rod with a clean-out pin attached to one end and a push button assembly attached to the other end. The assembly when mounted within a gas pilot housing can be actuated by manually pressing the button of the assembly to move the plunger rod toward a gas outlet of the gas pilot so that the tip of the clean-out pin passes through the gas outlet, removing debris therefrom. When pressure is no longer applied to the button, the assembly returns to an open position.

Abstract: Carriage (10) attachable to a prime mover (41) for travel over turf or grass wherein the carriage (10) has idler rollers (12, 13 and 14) and a ground aeration mechanism in the form of a support axle (15) having a plurality of slicer blades (16) attached thereto. There is also provided a housing (11) having a hollow interior (33) which houses rollers (12, 13 and 14) and ground aeration mechanism (15 and 16). In use, when carriage (10) travels over turf or grass, both rollers (12, 13 and 14) and the ground aeration mechanism (15 and 16) operate simultaneously to not only roll the grass but also slice it for the purpose of facilitating moisture penetration.
