Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing battery terminals comprising different steps, during which a continuous wire (18) is cut (22) into predefined lengths, and then a pin head and point are formed. To this end, a conveyor path (40) is used, at the end of which the pegs (10) fall into a receptacle. In order to accelerate and simplify finishing of the pointed pins (10″), the aftertreatment of the pin points takes place on the conveyor path (40), between the sharpening stage (23) and the collecting receptacle (70), during which unwanted burrs can be removed on another cylinder (60). As a result, already finished pins fall into the receptacle at the end of the conveyor path.
Abstract: A press for the stamping of plates, in combination with a cutting apparatus, provided with two magazines that are formed on the press table, while the magazines accommodate registers that are positioned horizontally with respect to one another, whereby each register encompasses a series of holders for stamping tools that have the same or differing width. The holders are positioned vertically with respect to one another. The stamping tools are combined in pairs and, by computer control, can be positioned at the height of the press table by vertical drives and horizontal drives and into correspondence with the plate design that is to be stamped into a sheet metal strip. The stamping tool pairs can also be slid into the press, and be removable therefrom, by additional horizontal drives using the press, it is possible to stamp out plates, particularly vehicle license plates, having a design in which the individual symbols are either in registered layout or in a free (or non-registered) layout.
Abstract: A method of rolling plates from input stock in several successively arranged work steps, wherein, depending on the desired end product, different numbers of n passes are carried out in one or more roll stands, preferably in a hot-rolling reversing stand. From a pass n-k to a pass n-1, greater pass reductions (smaller strip thicknesses) are rolled at the strip beginning than at the strip end, wherein k is a counting number in the range of from 1 to n-1.
Abstract: A cassette-type roll stand for a two-high roll pair, wherein the bearing chocks of the roll stand are guided in a cassette formed by two housing frames which can be moved into and out of the roll stand. The housing frames are constructed as upwardly open U-shaped frames having oppositely located side members, wherein the side members are provided with guides for the bearing chocks of the lower roll and wherein one of the side members has extension projections with pivot bearings for the sides of the bearings chocks of the upper roll facing the pivot bearings. The other sides of the bearing chocks facing away from the extension projections are connected through spring-elastic connecting rods to the corresponding sides of the bearing chocks of the lower roll. In addition, an adjusting device and support and measuring devices for the cassette-type roll stand are arranged in the support frame.
