Patent number: 8230532Abstract: The device of the present invention comprises a limiting face configured to limit a movement of a stop arm of a toilet flush system actuator unit, that may be mounted to a toilet flush valve body by at least one retention piece. A fulcrum piece may also be provided, the fulcrum piece including a fulcrum hole adaptably sized to receive a fulcrum pin of a toilet flush system actuator unit, such that when the device is installed on a broken toilet flush valve the device will substitute, or provide support, for the support arms with fulcrum holes and stop tab for the toilet tilt valve.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2009Date of Patent: July 31, 2012Inventors: Win Htay, Michael Lin

Patent number: 8220789Abstract: The combination food cutting board includes removable cups for food items, and a waste compartment. An upper cutting board mates with a lower base. The upper cutting board includes an aperture aligned with a receptacle in the base for waste, and secondary apertures aligned with matching receptacles in the base for holding the cups food items. The base includes a lateral opening and a sliding drawer in the waste compartment, and may include a storage compartment under the upper cutting board.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2008Date of Patent: July 17, 2012Inventors: Harry Pourounidis, Curtis Stone

Patent number: 7878602Abstract: The method and system for increasing accuracy of clamping force of electric aircraft carbon brakes, once braking has been commenced, provides a first pair of electric brake actuators with a range of low brake clamping force responsive to low brake clamping force commands, and a second pair of electric brake actuators with a range of high brake clamping force responsive to high brake clamping force commands. The first pair of electric brake actuators is actuated to apply a minimum residual braking force once wheel braking is commenced, and the second pair of electric brake actuators is actuated only when the commanded braking force is in the high range of brake clamping force.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2010Date of Patent: February 1, 2011Assignee: Hydro-Aire, Inc.Inventors: Gary DeVlieg, John Gowan

Patent number: 7856721Abstract: The scrubbing razor includes a handle, an elongated head with a blade mounting portion, and one or more forward straight blades and one or more rearward straight blades mounted to and extending from the underside of the blade mounting portion. The one or more rearward straight blades are mounted in opposing relation to the one or more forward straight blades, so that the scrubbing razor is bidirectional. The cutting edges of the one or more forward straight blades and the opposing cutting edges of the one or more rearward straight blades define a single plane.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2009Date of Patent: December 28, 2010Inventor: John Robert Harris, II

Patent number: 7645409Abstract: The present invention is directed to an expandable polymer link hybrid stent for implantation in a body lumen, such as a coronary artery along with a method of making the stent. The stent generally includes a series of metallic cylindrical rings longitudinally aligned on a common axis of the stent and interconnected by a series of polymeric links. The polymer links are formed by applying polymer layers between the rings and laser ablating the excess material. The polymeric material forming the polymeric links, provides longitudinal and flexural flexibility to the stent while maintaining sufficient column strength to space the cylindrical rings along the longitudinal axis. The metallic material forming the rings provides the necessary radial stiffness.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2008Date of Patent: January 12, 2010Assignee: Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, Inc.Inventors: Richard J. Patent number: 7083629Abstract: An overtube apparatus for insertion into a body is described herein. The assembly includes an overtube having a lumen defined throughout. The distal end of the overtube member has two or more windows in apposition configured to draw in tissue via a vacuum. A drive tube, which also defines a lumen, is inserted and is freely adjustable within the overtube. A spiral or helical fastener, which is temporarily attached to the drive tube distal end, is positioned within the overtube lumen. Endoscopic devices can be inserted within the drive tube lumen and advanced past the distal ends of both the drive tube and overtube. A pump provides the vacuum to draw apposed regions of tissue from within a hollow body organ into the windows of the overtube. Once the tissue has been invaginated, the drive tube is rotated to advance the fastener into the tissue to fasten them together.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2002Date of Patent: August 1, 2006Assignee: Satiety, Inc.Inventors: Gary Weller, Craig Gerbi, James Gannoe, Mark E. Patent number: 7071244Abstract: High refractive index and optically clear copoly(carbosilane and siloxane) elastomers and ophthalmic lenses made therefrom are provided. The elastomers are comprised of copolymers having carbosilane repeat units and siloxane repeat units. The copolymers and ophthalmic lenses of the present invention have a high refractive index and excellent folding recoverability.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2002Date of Patent: July 4, 2006Assignee: STAAR Surgical CompanyInventor: Xiugao Liao

Patent number: 7051853Abstract: A convertible luggage device including a retractable handle assembly and at least one pair of extendable wheels. Included is a brake system operating to lock at least one of the wheels. In one aspect, the device forms a stroller. In another aspect, the device includes straps for engaging a car seat or a basket for receiving luggage or other items. By embodying a broad wheel base, the present invention provides a stable platform for pushing or pulling luggage or for performing as a stroller.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2004Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Inventor: Deborah Brown

Patent number: 7050479Abstract: Successive packets of signals representing data are transmitted at progressive (hopping) frequencies from a controlled (e.g. transmitting) station to a controlling (e.g. receiving) station which processes the signals to recover the data. The frequencies of the signals are selected at the controlling station from a group of frequencies by determining the frequencies in which signals are received by the controlling station from the controlled station at each of the selected frequencies with the highest signal-to-noise ratios. The selection of the frequencies and the prioritization of the selected frequencies for use as the hopping frequencies may be provided once at the beginning of the transmission of data in packets from the controlled station to the controlling station, particularly when the channel conditions are relatively stable. Alternatively, the prioritization may be provided periodically during the transmission of data from the controlled station to the controlling station.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2000Date of Patent: May 23, 2006Assignee: The Titan CorporationInventor: Young M.
