  • Patent number: 7066824
Abstract: The golf practice apparatus has a large target supported by two supports connected at diametrically opposed areas on the large target. For stability, the two supports are connected to one another by a cross member and ground stakes engaging the supports can be inserted into the ground. Successively smaller targets are connected to the larger target. The smaller targets are connected to the large target by a pair of straps. Each pair of straps consists of two sections. The straps are sewn to the middle sized target and have two ends extending radially in each direction from the large target. The straps are wrapped around and secured to both the large target and smaller target. Once wrapped around the respective target, the strap is secured to itself by such conventional means as snaps. In this manner, the smaller target can be removed from the middle target and the middle target can be removed from the larger target.

  • Patent number: 6892773
Abstract: A carrier for a golf bag completely encloses the golf bag and has a bottom section, a middle section and a top section. The bottom section is formed in part by a rigid plastic plate that supports two wheels. The wheels allow easy transportation of the carrier. The middle section of the bag supports pockets for carrying golf accessories such as shoes, balls and tees. The top section is padded and has at least one set of cords. Each cord is separated into two pieces. Each piece has an end secured to the interior of the bag and extends through a grommet to the exterior of the bag. The two cords can be pulled together and releasably connected. When the cords are pulled together and connected, the effective diameter and interior volume of the bag are reduced. This reduces the room for the clubs to move and cause damage to each other by impact.

  • Patent number: 6672311
Abstract: This device is used for compressing the abdominal wall and colon during colonoscopy so as to facilitate the colonoscopy exam. A vest including inflatable bladders is wrapped around a patient. The bladders are inflated to apply pressure to the patient's abdomen. Particularly, the bladders may apply pressure to the sigmoid, descending and ascending the colon of the patient to aid in a colonoscopy. The bladders may be selectively inflated, and deflated, in order to apply any desired amount of pressure to aid the doctor performing a colonoscopy examination. The bladders are enclosed between two layers of plastic to form the vest. The vest is inserted into a pillowcase-type slip, which is disposable. The vest is secured about the patient by such conventional connectors as hook and loop fasteners, located at the opposing ends of the vest.

  • Patent number: 6572167
Abstract: A combination golf ball retriever and dispenser comprises a shag bag and two tubes. The first tube is a conventional golf ball retrieving tube which may be screwed into a collar at the base of the bag. Golf balls retrieved through the tube may be stored in the bag by inverting the retrieving tube. Stored golf balls may be dispensed by removing the retrieving tube and screwing into its place a dispensing tube on an extending collar which surrounds a hole at the bottom of the bag. A selective dispenser is secured to the end of the second leg and comprises a pivotally mounted spring loaded bar having two prongs. A pivotally secured lever arm may press down on the arm thereby compressing the spring and moving one prong out of the interior of the second leg and the second prong through the slot and into the interior of the second leg.

  • Patent number: 6323410
Abstract: The musical slide rule has a base listing two sets of musical note symbols, each set arranged in two columns. The base is imprinted on both sides. The cover has apertures in each side and is slidable on the base. One side is the flat (♭) side, and the opposite side is the sharp (♯) side. There are also ways that the user will know that the wrong side is being used. Aligning the apertures of the cover with a musical note symbol on the base gives the user information such as the notes of the major and minor scale for that note, and chords for that note.

  • Patent number: 6079072
Abstract: A frame assembly supports a work surface of either flexible material or of sections of foldable and unfoldable relatively rigid material all so that the frame assembly and material may either be unfoldable and rigidized or folded into a compact package. The flexible frame assembly includes a pair of spaced poles and a number of hinged sections aligned so that the poles and material can be folded in sections. The poles rotate to permit either a frame folded disposition or a frame rigidized disposition. Embodiments include stretchers, screens and enclosures. The rigid material assembly provides a collapsible and rigidizable space spanning structure formed with a number of hinged sections of center supports and plates hingedly connected together to be either folded into a relatively compact device or unfolded and hingedly positioned to form rigidized space spanning structures.

  • Patent number: 6056622
Abstract: Unpredictable bounce characteristics are imparted to a ball by forming the ball as a composite wherein a second ball part is disposed within a first ball part with the centers of each ball part spaced one from the other. In a first embodiment the second ball part is of the relatively high bounce ball type that is disposed in a cavity formed in the first ball part which is fabricated from sponge-like rubber; with the second ball part center spaced from the first ball part center. In a second embodiment the first ball part is of the relatively high bounce ball type and the second ball part is an air filled cavity formed within the first ball parts with the center of the cavity spaced from the center of the first ball part. The composite balls may be formed by severing the first ball part, forming the cavity therein and either leaving the cavity empty or placing a second ball part of different characteristics than the first ball part within the cavity..

  • Patent number: 5842205
Abstract: A computer programming method is provided for translating source messages to target messages. The translational steps are described in a database in which all necessary instructions and data are stored. A control program has the limited functions of responding to source messages and accessing the database. The database then directs the control program to access subroutines called translation method programs. The translation method programs then access the source message in a step-by-step process to translate the source message to the target message. The translation method programs send messages to the control program to advise if each step in the translation process has or has not been successfully accomplished. The control program, responding to the database and the translation method programs, then delivers the completely translated target message to the receiver.
