Abstract: A cover and system are provided for protecting an electrical enclosure during intense storms. The cover includes a top wall and a sidewall parametrically bounding the top wall and that is attached thereto. The cover further includes at least one vent disposed in the sidewall for allowing heat to escape from the enclosure. Loops are attached to the sidewall for receiving an adjustable length cable tie. An adhesive is provided for releasably coupling the cover to the enclosure thereby securing the cover to the enclosure along with the tightened cable tie. The cover, vent, adjustable length cable tie, and adhesive form the system for protecting the electrical enclosure.
Abstract: An electrical box is provided that is easily adaptable for ganging to an adjacent electrical box. The electrical box includes a body member having a pair of opposed side walls, a rear wall contiguously formed between the pair of opposed side walls, a pair of opposed guides bounding the body member and integrally formed therewith, and a pair of opposed tabs disposed between the pair of opposed side walls and integrally formed on the pair of opposed guides.
Abstract: A cable connector is provided for allowing a plurality of varying diameter cables to be coupled to the cable connector via a locking sleeve. The cable connector includes a connector body and a post coupled to the connector body at a secured end that includes a receiving end axially opposite the secured end. The post has an annular lip integrally formed at the receiving end. The cable connector also includes a generally hollow, rigid sleeve adapted to receive the plurality of varying diameter cables therein. The sleeve has an unlocked position and a locked position wherein it is at least partially disposed within the connector body. A forward end is releasably coupled to the connector body and a rearward end is adapted to receive the cable therein.
Abstract: A surface raceway mounting bracket is described which is used to secure an electrical fixture to the surface raceway. The mounting bracket is supported by the surface raceway and it is configured with at least one latch extending from the back surface of the mounting bracket. Each such latch is configured to engage and latch onto the base component of the surface raceway. A perimeter portion of this mounting bracket is designed to overlay a portion of the cover of this surface raceway.
