Abstract: A touch lock guarantees reliable alarm activation comprises: a) an upright front display screen; b) a keypad, haying three separated groups of keys: a choice of alarm-time set function keys; a ten numeric key group positioned centrally on the keypad; and a AM-PM/Set function key. The clock can be fully operated by a single finger, using a maximum of six touches, providing assurance of entry of each touch, without the need to hold or grasp the clock, and without the need for a user to reorient himself from a position facing the clock, or to reorient the clock from its operable, optimally viewed orientation. After a user has easily and quickly set an alarm time by utilizing each of the three groups of keys, he then can at any time review his entries with a glance.

Abstract: An apparatus to deter pets from lying on a seat portion which extends between opposite arms each on an end of a piece of furniture comprising: i) a large spring having an extended length sufficient to extend across a width of the seat portion of the piece of furniture, the spring having a sufficient diameter to extend across a substantial depth of the seat portion; ii) a fabric sleeve loosely surrounding the large spring, the sleeve also having a length sufficient to extend across a width of the seat portion of the furniture; iii) two end panels, each attached to an opposite end portion of the large spring and an end portion of the fabric sleeve; and, iv) end panel attachment mechanism spaced around a periphery of the end panels to attach the end panels together in a storage position with the spring compressed therebetween.

Abstract: Transmission of communicable diseases has been a long standing problems between athletes playing team sports. The potential of HIV and AIDS virus transmission has elevated this problem to be a grave concern. A major avenue for the transmission of infectious agents has been identified to be a game's ball. In many sports it is common practice for athletes to wet their finger tips to better grip the ball. A hygienic method of improving grip on a game ball is disclosed. The disclosed gripping band is wholly flexible and accordingly is not a potential source of injury even in a contact sport. Wetted absorbent material within a water tight pan, due to minimally exposed surface area, remains moist for sustained periods in any orientation.

Abstract: A cargo attachment bracket to be carried on an interior bed rail extending parallel to, and spaced down from, a top portion of a side of a pickup truck bed, comprising: a) a body having a front face, a rear face juxtaposed against the interior rail, and an opening extending between the front and rear face; b) a screw having a head portion, a shank portion extending through the opening between the front and rear face, and a lug for engagement within, and under an interior side portion of the rail for releasable attachment of the body to a chosen position along the length of the rail; c) an arm having a bracket end, and an opposite inwardly projecting end; d) an arm extension projecting from the unhinged end portion of the arm, configured together with the arm, and provided with selection and locking means for selection and lockably fixing the combined projection of the arm and the extension from the rail; and, e) a releasable cargo attachment end portion carried by the unattached end of the arm extension.

Abstract: A trash pail lid lock apparatus for removably securing a trash pail lid on a trash pail, comprising: a) two spaced radial arms, having inner end portions attached together, and peripheral end portions generally extending to a peripheral edge portion of the trash pail lid; b) a sleeve member having a lateral side portion attached to the peripheral end portion of the radial arm, and having a sleeve portion thereof oriented so that an axis therethrough is upright; c) an upright J shaped member having an upright portion slidably, rotatably, and closely positioned within the sleeve portion of the sleeve member, said lower end portion of the J shaped member having an upwardly extending unattached end portion adapted to be received between a peripheral upright wall and lip of the trash pail; and, d) a spring to maintain the J shaped member in a lifted engagement position.

Abstract: A tent having a wind resistant tubular frame comprises: a frame having a) multiple frame legs, each leg having a lower portion lockingly hinged to an upper portion, wherein the lower portion can be swung open from a storage position in which the upper and lower portions are adjacent to each other, and then locked in an open operable position; and, b) a crown to which the an inner end portion of the upper portion of each one of the multiple legs is hinged generally laterally thereto, wherein the legs can be laterally rotated from a storage position in which they are adjacent to each other to an operable, spaced apart position in which the frame legs radiate outwardly from the crown; and, a canvas, shaped to cover one of an inner and outer sides of the frame. In a preferred aspect of this invention the tent further comprises a door side leg for opening an entire segment of the tent between two tent frame legs for convenient entry of large equipment.

Abstract: A hand and arm manipulated scraper for a windshield comprising: a) a blade portion having a windshield contact edge portion and an opposite handle end; b) an elongate handle portion having a blade end portion, attached to the blade portion and an opposite grip end portion to be held with the hand; and, c) an arm brace portion terminating in an arm cover which covers a top side portion of the forearm extending therefrom down and the around the arm and having an inner end portion attaching to the grip end portion of the handle portion beneath the palm of one's hand. When the blade portion is pressed down on the windshield while the grip end portion is grasped beneath the palm of the hand, the wrist is prevented from bending up by downward pressure of the arm cover on the top side portion of the arm.

Abstract: A rotary reciprocating pump comprises: i) a pump housing having intake and discharge ports; a shaft driven rotary piston carder, rotatably carrying pistons circularly arranged therearound; ii) a driven rotary cylinder block having a plurality of cylinder bores therein, circularly arranged therearound for reception of the pistons, and having a flat outer side portion having an intake/discharge port therethrough communicating with the cylinder bores; iii) a stationary sloping inner control surface portion in sliding proximity with the outer side portion of the rotating cylinder block, the control surface portion configured so that the cylinder block moves outwardly for intake and inwardly for discharge, the control surface portion also having grooved openings therethrough to appropriately communicate with the ports to the bore through the cylinder block and with the intake and discharge ports in the pump housing; and, iv) a spring biasing the cylinder blocks towards the control surface portion.

Abstract: A combination of an air recovery generator and blast deflector for generating energy on the ground from horizontally discharged air from an aircraft on the ground and for deflecting the discharged air upwardly comprising: a) a laterally elongate frame having a sloping front face covered with a skin, so that air horizontally discharged against the face will be diverted upwardly enhancing comfort and safety for people on the ground; and, b) a pivoted bladed wheel attached to, and positioned in front of the frame, so that the horizontally discharged air will rotate the wheel thereby generating electricity when the discharged air is upwardly deflected.

Abstract: A vibrato mounting bracket for a guitar, said vibrato unit having a frame having: a) a generally fiat central portion extending from a bottom peripheral edge portion of the guitar, said flat central portion having four vibrato, unit attachment openings therethrough; b) a bottom portion extending from the central portion over the bottom peripheral edge portion of the guitar and having a lower strap screw attachment opening therethrough; and, c) an upper portion extending above the central portion having two opposite lateral openings therethrough spaced to align with i) the two outer string stop bar screws on the guitar, or ii) the two outer bridge attachment screws on the guitar where said guitar has a bridge attachment screw, or iii) the bridge height adjustment screws. The front face and the sound box are then better able to vibrate thereby producing maximum resonance and depth of sound.

Abstract: A method of carrying equipment on one side of an ATV having a front top rack, a rear top rack and a foot rest on the one side comprising the following steps: a) attaching a utility box carrying bracket to an outer side portion of the front top rack, the foot rest, and the rear top rack; and, b) mounting a utility box on each of the box carrying brackets. Then equipment may be conveniently carried in and removed from the mounted box. In a preferred aspect of this invention the utility box is generally rectangular in plan view and further comprises a utility box lid hinged to one long top side portion of the box and latched to the other opposite long side portion of the box so that equipment carried in the box is protected from the elements. A lateral side of the mounted box is dimensioned to generally follow the longitudinal shape of the fenders and running board so that the box generally fills the void above the running board and a central portion of the fenders.

Abstract: A jig for bending a wire tray comprising: a base to carry a rear end portion of the wire tray, having a front end portion having two spaced points adapted for hangable connection; b) two swinging arms each hingably attached to the front end portion of the base; c) an arm spacer having a rear end portion having two spaced points, adapted for hangable connection, and attached to a central point on a corresponding swinging arm, so that movement of either arm moves the other arm in parallel alignment thereto; d) an interior block/clamp positioned within and thereafter clamped to the wire tray on the base; e) an interior block/clamp positioned within and thereafter clamp the wire tray on the spacer; and wherein, f) an interior side portion of the base surrounds the wire tray. When the block/clamps are properly secured within the rear and front end portions of the wire tray then the wire tray is prevented from bending.

Abstract: An elevating cargo support assembly configured to extend across and between a top portion of the two opposite sidewalls of the bed on a pickup truck comprising: i) a central cargo support member having a track extending along its lower side portion between its opposite end portions; ii) two slides positioned within, and carried by the track; iii) two pivoting arms, each having an inner end portion hingably and slidably attached to a different one of the slides in the track extending along the cargo support member, and each having an outer end portion hingably carried by the top portion of one of the sides of the bed on the pickup truck; and, iv) releasable slide lock to releasably lock each of the slides and a corresponding one of the pivoting arms in an opposite end portion of the central cargo support member to thereby maintain the central cargo support member in an elevated position.

Abstract: An easily set alarm clock which provides continuous and reliable assurance of correct alarm activation. The alarm clock comprises: a) an upright display screen having a large 4 digit time display portion and a smaller 4 digit alarm display portion; b) a lateral keypad positioned beneath the display screen, said keypad having time set function keys positioned in vertical alignment along a left side portion of the keypad, a numeric key portion positioned immediately to the right of the time set function keys on a central portion of the keypad for entry of the time corresponding to the selected function key, and AM/set-PM/set selection keys positioned in vertical alignment along a right side portion of the keypad. The clock configured so that if an alarm time is displayed the alarm is ON and will always activate audibly at the alarm time displayed, and alternatively if a time is not displayed the alarm is OFF.

Abstract: A method of generating energy from a discharge of an aircraft comprising the steps of: a) providing an air recovery generator assembly having a bladed wheel; and, b) positioning the air recovery generator behind the aircraft. The discharged air from the aircraft then turns the wheel thereby generating energy. In a preferred aspect of this invention the bladed wheel comprises a bladed cylinder wheel and the bladed cylindrical wheel additionally rotates a flywheel to store rotational energy therein. A mechanism is provided to move the bladed cylindrical wheel from a below ground storage position to an elevated operational position.

Abstract: An apparatus for alleviating lower back pain while sleeping on a front side portion of one's body comprising: a pillow cover having a width generally equal to a width of the body, said pillow cover having an elongate opening therealong for insertion of a pillow insert and opposite lateral side straps extending therefrom for encircling the waist of the user; and, a pillow insert having a central portion and similar lateral side portions.

Abstract: A hinge and arm adapted to attach to one end face of a rectangular ice chest, to maintain the one end face of the chest in an elevated position for draining comprising: a hinge having one side attached to the one end face so that its other side swings in a vertical plane; and a swinging arm wherein a lower portion of the arm extends beneath the ice chest to maintain the one end face in an elevated position for draining. In a preferred aspect, the invention further comprises an ice chest and the arm comprises two parallel arms each having one end portion pivoted to the hinge and a handle portion interconnecting the other opposite ends. When the hinge/lift handle is centrally mounted on the one end face and a pivot end portion of the arms is elongated to extend down from the central mounting to the beneath the bottom portion of the box then the hinge additionally functions as a lift handle.
