Abstract: A lighting assembly is provided having a main housing and retaining member hinged to the main housing. The housing has an open end with a channel for receiving and supporting a lens, diffuser and/or grate. The retaining member is hinged to close the open end of the housing and prevent removal of the lens, diffuser and grate. The retaining member is coupled to the housing by pivot pins that are received in elongated slots in the side of the housing. The retaining member is pulled away from the housing where the pivot pins slide to an outward end of the slot and then pivot in an upward or downward direction to allow removal of the lens, diffuser and grate.

Abstract: A mounting bracket is provided for supporting an electrical box to a support structure. The mounting bracket includes a mounting base for coupling to the electrical box, and a body member extending perpendicular to the mounting base and extending against the back wall of the electrical box. The body member includes a support member and extension member that can be folded outwardly from the back wall of the electrical box to contact an opposing wall and support the electrical box. In another embodiment, the mounting bracket includes a front plate with a central opening for receiving an electrical box and a pair of extension members that extend in a rearward direction with respect to the electrical box. The support members can include an extension member that can be folded outwardly to contact an opposing wall surface to support the electrical box.

Abstract: A mounting bracket for supporting an electrical box or other electrical device to a wall stud is adapted to contact an opposing wall to resist movement of the bracket. The bracket includes a front plate and a support plate extending perpendicular to the front plate and having a length to engage the opposing wall. The extension plate is integrally formed with the support plate and can be folded to an outward extended position to increase the effective length of the stabilizing plate to accommodate wall cavities of different depths. The extension plate includes fold lines so that an end portion can be bent to shorten the effective length of the extension plate.

Abstract: A lighting assembly is provided having a main housing and a lens assembly hinged to the main housing. The lens assembly has a body with end walls with a recess in an upper end of the end walls. The recess in each end wall has a dimension to receive and support a lens for directing light to the target area. The lens has a length greater than the length of the cover so that the ends of the lens extend beyond the outer edge of the end walls of the cover. Stop members are provided on the end walls to limit longitudinal movements of the lens with respect to the body of the lens assembly. A reflector extends from a bottom edge of the cover to an upper edge overlying a portion of the lens. A spring clip is provided to couple the lens to the reflector.

Abstract: A bar hanger assembly is provided for supporting a recessed electrical device in a ceiling support. The bar hanger includes first and second telescoping support arms that are slidably connected together for adjusting the length of the bar hanger. The support arms having an elongated body with first and second ends and a mounting plate coupled to the first end. The mounting plate is oriented substantially perpendicular to the plane of the body. An attachment member is coupled to a bottom edge of the mounting plate for attaching to the bottom edge of a ceiling joist. The attachment member includes a detent extending from one side thereof. The attachment member can be bent from a first position perpendicular to the mounting plate to a second position parallel to the mounting plate for attaching to a T-bar support.

Abstract: An electrical connector is provided including a housing supporting an electrical device and for receiving an electrical cord or cable. A cap having internal threads and an axial passage for receiving the electrical cord and clamping the electrical cord to the housing to form a waterproof connection. The cap includes a conical shaped seal member for forming a waterproof seal with the outer surface of the electrical cord. A conical shaped bushing is received in a frustoconical shaped bore of the housing and is axially and radially compressed by the threaded cap onto the housing. The bushing has an axial bore for receiving the electrical cable and an outer surface with at least one annular recess to facilitate the axial and radial compression of the bushing. The bottom end of the cap has a chamfered edge which mates with a frustoconical shaped outer surface of the housing to form a waterproof seal.

Abstract: An electrical fixture mounting assembly is provided for quickly and easily mounting an electrical fixture to a bracket and brace assembly. The electrical fixture mounting assembly includes an electrical box, a brace assembly for attaching to a support structure and a bracket for attaching the electrical box to the brace. The brace assembly is typically and adjustable member that extends between ceiling joists located above an aperture in a ceiling. The bracket is connected to the brace by a snap fit. The bracket includes retention fingers that are resilient to snap onto the brace and prevent movement of the bracket with respect to the brace during installation of the electrical box. The bracket includes tabs with threaded apertures for receiving mounting screws. The electrical box includes circular apertures and at least one keyhole shaped slot aligned with the threaded apertures in the flanges of the bracket.

Abstract: A channel for managing equipment cables that includes opposing first and second members and a third member extending between and connecting the first and second members. Each of the first and second members includes first and second inner and outer surfaces. At least one cable receiving area is defined between the first and second inner surfaces of the first and second members. First and second equipment mounting elements extend from each of the first and second outer surfaces of the first and second members. The first and second equipment mounting elements are connectable to equipment. A base support is coupled to at least one of the first and second members.

Abstract: A wallwash reflector assembly includes a downlight body mounted within a wallwash body, the wallwash body being of multi-piece construction including an active body having an upper wallwash reflector for illuminating a first portion of a wall and a wallside body having a lower wallwash reflector for illuminating for a second portion of the wall. The upper and lower wallwash reflectors are optically optimized to provide a smooth, imperceptible transition between the illumination provided to the wall by the upper wallwash reflector and the illumination provided to the wall by the lower wallwash reflector.

Abstract: A unitary fire pump controller and transfer switch assembly is housed in a single cabinet having a fire resistant barrier dividing the cabinet into at least two separate compartments. A fire pump controller device is contained within a first compartment. An automatic transfer switch is contained in the second compartment and separated from the control device by the barrier.

Abstract: An electrical box assembly includes a cover assembly, a gasket and an electrical box coupled together by mounting screws. The cover includes a base with a plurality of screw holes for receiving the mounting screws. A support member having an axial passage extends from the bottom face of the cover around each of the screw holes. The gasket includes a cylindrical shaped sleeve that passes through the support member and has an axial length to extend from the screw hole in the cover. The mounting screws are inserted through the axial passage of the sleeve and the screw holes in the cover to axially compress the sleeve to form a watertight seal between the screw shaft and the support member.

Abstract: A conduit connector assembly which receives an end of a conduit carrying electrical wires includes a sleeve, a spring clip and a retaining spring. The retaining spring and the spring clip are each coupled to the sleeve. The spring clip is disposed within an interior passage of the sleeve and has a resiliently flexible body and a leg having a gripping end portion. The gripping end has a configuration for gripping and fitting partially about the conduit so as to center the grip end of the spring clip body on the conduit. The retaining spring includes a leg extending into the sleeve and a body contacting the outer surface of the spring clip to hold the spring clip in position and apply a biasing tension of the gripping end of the leg against the conduit.

Abstract: An electrical box assembly includes an adjustable electrical box cover. The cover includes a base having a central opening and a collar encircling the central opening. A sleeve slides through the collar and is adjusted by a plurality of adjustment screws. In one embodiment, the adjustment screws are positioned within the sleeve and the collar. The sleeve and collar have inwardly extending tabs to receive the adjustment screws allow adjustment of the sleeve with respect to the collar.

Abstract: A cover assembly for attaching to an electrical box includes a base, a body and a cover hinged to the body. The assembly is mounted to the electrical box to protect an electrical device from moisture while allowing access to the electrical device. The base has a flange around the perimeter to form an open top end. The flange has a coupling member on its inner face to mate with an outer surface of the body.

Abstract: A conduit connector assembly which receives an end of a conduit carrying electrical wires includes a body, a grommet and a spring clip. The grommet and the spring clip are each mounted to the body. The spring clip is disposed within an interior bore of the fitting body and has a resiliently flexible body and a leg having a gripping end portion. The grip end has a substantially scalloped configuration for gripping and fitting partially about the conduit so as to center the grip end of the spring clip body on the conduit. The spring clip also includes a latching member to couple with the body to hold the spring clip in position and apply a biasing tension of the gripping end of the leg against the conduit. The grip end having the scalloped configuration is in the form of an arcuate concave-shaped edge surface on the gripping end portion of the body.

Abstract: An electrical box assembly includes an adjustable electrical box cover. The cover includes a base plate having a central opening and a collar encircling the central opening. A sleeve slides through the collar and is adjusted by a plurality of adjustment screws. In one embodiment, the adjustment screws are positioned between the sleeve and the collar. In another embodiment, the sleeve and collar have inwardly extending tabs to receive the adjustment screws.
