  • Patent number: 6551475
Abstract: A corner insert for edge strips used with modified electrodes for electrolytic processes. An electrode that is at least partially submerged in an electrolyte is protected by edge strips to prevent depositions and metallic bridges. The edge strips are typically mitered to abut one another at the corners of the electrode and it is difficult to seal this junction. One solution is to remove the corners of the electrode, provide non-mitered edge strips, and close the gap at the corner with an insert adapted to seal to the additional edges of the electrode created by removing the comers. Another solution is to provide a corner insert having one or more anchors for anchoring the corner insert to the electrode and to respective adjacent edge strips, the corner insert sealing against the edge strips and against opposite sides of the electrode whether or not the corner portion has been removed.

  • Patent number: 6512962
Abstract: Disclosed is a cabling picker in a library of stationary memory devices. One or more input/output cables electrically connected to a host computer through a destination are provided, and these are moved or manipulated for interconnecting with selected memory devices in the library instead of moving the memory devices to the destination.

  • Patent number: 6064193
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the RMS value of an electrical signal. An electrical signal is converted to a digital signal. The digital signal is squared and low pass filtered to extract the DC component, the DC component being recognized as the mean-square of the signal. In use in a measurement device, the square root of the DC component is taken and displayed as the RMS value of the electrical signal.

  • Patent number: 5982712
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring time intervals between electrical signals. A coincidence detection circuit is adapted to detect coincidence or near coincidence of two signals and to provide for selection from a plurality of predetermined delays to remove the coincidence. If the two input signals are periodic and have the same frequency, the apparatus also provides a signal from which both the time delay between the signals and the period of the signals may be determined at substantially the same point in time.

  • Patent number: 5978742
Abstract: A method and apparatus for digitally sampling electrical waveforms. A sampling circuit for sampling an electrical signal, a digitizing circuit for digitizing the samples produced by the sampling circuit and an acquisition memory for storing the samples are employed, the acquisition memory being partitioned into a plurality of frames. Each frame is triggered to store samples associated with a respective triggering event. After substantially all of the frames have been triggered, the contents of the acquisition memory are retrieved from the acquisition memory, filtered in an equalization filter and stored in a waveform memory for ultimate display as an ET record under software control. A plurality of digitizing circuits associated with respective inputs of a multi-channel digital sampling oscilloscope are interleaved to increase the sampling rate.
