  • Patent number: 6807310
Abstract: In one example, a transform component of a system receives a first plurality of image parts in a first domain that comprise an initial size. A transform component of the system transforms the first plurality of image parts to obtain a second plurality of image parts in a second domain different from the first domain. A transform component of the system transforms a plurality of image parts based on the second plurality of image parts to obtain a resultant plurality of image parts in the first domain that comprise a resultant size different from the initial size. In a further example, a transform component of a system applies sparse matrix multiplication to each of first and second image parts.

  • Patent number: 6748669
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a drying machine (10) comprising a frame structure (12), means for propelling air, and means for directing air. In this embodiment the drying machine (10) includes a flexible skirt (14) mounted about a perimeter of the frame structure (12). The frame structure (12) is a wing-type platform which includes an underlying cavity (16) which is substantially enclosed by the flexible skirt (14) to permit hovering of the frame structure (12). The propelling means includes a motor (18) which is operatively coupled to a fan (20) via a gearbox (22). The frame structure (12) is fabricated so as to define a duct (32) about the propeller (20) and the duct (32) provides a flow of air to both a main flow passage (34) and an auxiliary flow passage (36) which are separated by a dividing wall or splitter plate (38).

  • Patent number: 6613233
Abstract: A method in which a fluid is driven into a process unit through utilization of a propulsion unit operating in a process mode. A process is performed which utilizes the fluid in the process unit. The propulsion unit is set to operate in a recycle mode and fluid contaminated by the process is driven into a recycling unit through utilization of the propulsion unit. A system comprises a process unit that utilizes a liquid to perform a process. A recycling unit recycles fluid contaminated by the process. A propulsion unit coupled to the process unit and the recycling unit is adjustable between a process mode and a recycle mode.

  • Patent number: 6456072
Abstract: An apparatus for obtaining multiple spectra from a plurality of samples through the use of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. A plurality of microcoils are coupled to and are in operable communication with an NMR spectrometer. The coils are operable in both a transmit mode and a receive mode to transmit RF energy to a sample being analyzed and to receive the return data for analysis by the NMR spectrometer. At least one switch is coupled to the plurality of coils and the NMR spectrometer. A controller for the NMR spectrometer is coupled to the switch and is used to control alternative activation of the coils for NMR data acquisition of multiple samples.
