    Abstract: A method according to preparing an integral image from an interwoven image is provided. The interwoven image is prepared by interweaving at least two source images which have been divided into cells which themselves have been divided into image elements. By interweaving the image elements within each cell and forming an array of cells, an integral image is formed when the array of cells is viewed through a viewing screen. 3-dimensional, moving or motion, and images which are combinations thereof are formed with the present device. The method can be used in electronic display devices as well as on non-electronic services to form integral images. A 3-dimensional image formed by the present device will generally have a portion which appears to project above the surface of an overlaying viewing screen. A quality control method for the manufacture of three-dimensional integral image devices and for the selection of viewing screens is also provided herein.

The near infrared fluorophore is included with one or more layers comprising the microparticle. Desirably, the coating layers contain colorants such as dyes and/or pigments which increases the total possible combinations that may be used to identify the marked material. There is further provided a method for marking a material using these microparticles containing a near infrared fluorophore.

    Abstract: A head for a line trimming apparatus includes a body member and a detachable cover which may include a replaceable insert for connecting the head to a drive shaft of a line trimming apparatus. The body member includes opposed openings and a filament receiving channel for inserting an elongated flexible cutting filament into the head for retention thereon. A spring biased clamp is supported on the body member and is engageable with the filament portion residing in the channel to releasably retain the filament connected to the head. An actuator button projects through an opening in the body member and is operable to be pressed to cause the clamp to release forcible engagement with a filament so that the filament may be removed and replaced. In one embodiment the clamp and actuator are an integrally formed part and the filament projects through openings formed in spaced apart arms of the clamp member.

    Abstract: A method is provided for detecting and locating anomalies in soil subjacent to an existing structure. Electrodes are placed into the soil both outside the structure and through the structure's foundation. Electrical resistivity data is collected using these electrodes. This electrical resistivity data is analyzed to create an electrical resistivity map or model. Inspection of the map or model can allow the operator to detect and locate resistivity anomalies which may correspond to geological anomalies in the soil. In alternative embodiment, one or more soil samples are taken from the soil adjacent to the existing structure. Laboratory resistivity measurements are performed on the soil samples to provide a set of baseline resistivity data. A resistivity map or model is produced as described above. This resistivity map or model is compared to the baseline values provided by the laboratory resistivity measurements of the soil samples to detect and locate resistivity and geological anomalies.

    Abstract: A chemical additive element or “soap stick” dispensing apparatus, particularly adapted for use in dispensing soap sticks into gas wells, includes an elongated tubular soap stick magazine member and a manual and gravity actuated flapper type check valve operable to hold a soap stick in the magazine member but operable in response to pressure equalization across the valve to open under the weight of the soap stick to dispense the soap stick into a wellbore. A bypass conduit is connected across the check valve and the magazine member and includes a remotely controllable or timer controlled motor operated valve operable to conduct wellbore pressure gas to a magazine chamber to equalize pressure across the check valve so as to allow the soap stick to be dispensed into the wellbore.

The interlaced views are then printed on a substrate and the substrate formed into a cylinder. A lenticular lens is then properly aligned with the substrate.     Abstract: A rotary-to-linear converter for use with a valve actuation device having a linear reciprocating cam shaft having longitudinally extending cam grooves that are engaged by captive cam followers which oscillate up and down in response to sideways reciprocation of the camshaft for actuating intake or exhaust valves of internal combustion engines or other devices employing reciprocating pistons and valves. The camshaft is caused to reciprocate by a rotary linear converter of the “yankee” type composed of double helix channel at the extreme end of the camshaft and a rotary drive collar having two sets of diametrically opposed guide members. The guide members comprise dogs which are rotatably engaged with the drive collar and slidably engaged with the double helix channel of the cam shaft.

    Abstract: A high temperature camera apparatus having an elongated steel camera housing tube and an elongated steel camera housing tube and an elongated camera support member, supporting a video camera at the furnace interior end of the camera housing tube. A ceramic heat shield tube telescopically surrounds at least a portion of the camera, and preferably the portion of the camera housing tube which contains the camera. The exterior surface of the camera housing tube is plated and polished to provide a highly reflective surface, and the ceramic heat shield tube is telescopically surrounded by an outer steel tube. The ceramic heat shield is spaced in position around the camera housing tube by a plurality of spacers projecting outwardly from the outer surface of the camera housing tube. A steel end plate is fixed at the furnace interior end of the camera housing tube, and is provided with an image hole aligned with the image axis of the camera, and a plurality of spaced ventilation holes surrounding the image hole.

    Abstract: The system allows for the controlled distribution of video and/or audio broadcasts over a LAN to selected and approved client computers. The video broadcasts are received by at least one server on the LAN. A configuration file is created with identifying information from the various video feeds. The systems administrator can create a list of which client computers can have access to certain video feeds. When a client computer requests a video feed, a menu of video feeds approved for that client is constructed and displayed on the client computer. The display can include a selectable representative image of the available broadcast. When selected, a display window appears with the live video feed.

    Abstract: The system I/O interface and its data structure are designed to minimize the host CPU utilization in driving an adapter. The interface is also designed to reduce the system interference in processing I/O requests. To eliminate the need of using PIO instructions, the command/status blocks for exchanging messages between the system and the adapter reside in the system memory. The data structure is designed to avoid "share write" entries in order to further minimize the overhead of maintaining each coherency when updating an entry in the cache either concurrently or sequentially by both adapter and system CPU. Further, the data structure of the control and status blocks is resided in the system memory. The system CPU uses STORE instruction to prepare control blocks and LOAD instruction to read from completion status blocks; while the adapter will rely on its DMA engine to move data to/from system memory in accessing control/status blocks.
