  • Patent number: 6772196
Abstract: The system filters-out undesirable email messages sent to a user email address. The system includes a data store providing updateable storage of signature records that correspond to a subset of undesirable email messages that may be sent to the predetermined email address. An email filter processor is coupled to the store of signature records and operates against the email messages received at the predetermined email address to identify and filter-out email messages corresponding to any of the signature records. An update system is provided to automatically receive a set of signature records, which are then used to update the plurality of signature records stored by the data store. The system can be implemented to include at least a portion of the email processor system within a client site email transport system, which receives the email messages addressed to the set of email addresses assigned or associated with the client site, including the predetermined email address.

  • Patent number: 6763354
Abstract: A system and methods providing for the evaluation of transaction data records to first determine forward link associations between items as reference and related items identified by corresponding “expert” users as a basis for establishing expert database item association rules. The forward link associations are then evaluated to identify back link associations between reference and related items. Back link weights, corresponding to the respective back link associations reflecting the depth and strength of the back linked associations are determined and associated with the forward link associations to provide an augmented basis for subsequently evaluating the association rules collected into an expert database.

  • Patent number: 6678828
Abstract: A secure network file access appliance supports the secure access and transfer of data between the file system of a client computer system and a network data store. An agent provided on the client computer system and monitored by the secure network file access appliance ensures authentication of the client computer system with respect to file system requests issued to the network data store. The secure network file access appliance is provided in the network infrastructure between the client computer system and network data store to apply qualifying access policies and selectively pass through to file system requests. The secure network file access appliance maintains an encryption key store and associates encryption keys with corresponding filesystem files to encrypt and decrypt file data as transferred to and read from the network data store through the secure network file access appliance.
