Abstract: The invention relates to a hand device for tilling the earth comprising a flat blade sharpened on all edges which is mounted on a side of a resilient, preferably trapezoidal shaped, frame, with the opposite side of the frame being mounted upon an elongated handle. The tilling device includes an automatic depth control including the resilient frame.

Abstract: A self contained disposable cauterizing system for use in cauterizing benign mucous membrane ulcerations, lacerations or fissures. The system includes a swab having an elongated handle with an absorbent swabbing tip on one end of said handle and with a coating of silver nitrate applied to the opposite end of said handle, an elongated flexible plastic tube and matching cap and a frangible ampoule filled with topical anesthetic, which ampoule is fittable in the plastic tube. In use, the portion of the tube where the ampoule is located is squeezed by the physician user, fracturing the ampoule and allowing the topical anesthetic to be absorbed by the absorbent swab tip. The swab is then withdrawn from the tube after the tube cap is removed, with the topical anesthetic end of the swab being applied to the ulceration, laceration or fissure to render the area insensitive to pain and silver nitrate is thereafter applied from the opposite end of the swab to the affected area for cauterization.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for the preparation of decubitus ulcers on the human heel, said apparatus including a harness adapted to fit about the human foot and ankle, with said apparatus having a reservoir-cushion connected thereto such that when the user of the device is lying on his/her back the reservoir-cushion is positioned between the back of said user's ankle and the surface on which said user reposes causing the human heel to remain suspended above the surface on which said user reposes and therefore removes all pressure from the human heel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for fumigation of enclosed spaces particularly poultry houses or environments where insects have to be controlled. The system provides a timed interval automatic sprayer system using compressed air, a source of insecticide and distribution equipment including conduits, nozzles and valves for distributing the insecticide in vapor form at a relatively uniform pressure.

Abstract: A hand-held reporting device for use in environments wherein a minimum of sound in connection with use of the device is a priority and in environments having a high level of noise intensity. The device includes a barrel with a bell-shaped top, the latter preferably being set at an angle with respect to the barrel. A microphone is positioned at the end of the barrel remote from the bell-shaped top. The barrel portion and a portion of the bell-shaped top are lined with foam urethane to muffle noise and absorb moisture. The reporting device includes means for permitting pressurized air within the device to escape to the outside via an air communication channel from inside the device through a portion of the face piece of the device to the outside.
