Abstract: A method of manufacturing a panel from a base using a droplet ejection apparatus including two groups of heads with each group including first to fourth heads. In each group, the nozzle arrays of the first and third heads overlap throughout a first sub-area, the nozzle arrays of the first and fourth heads overlap throughout a second sub-area, and the nozzle arrays of the second and fourth heads overlap throughout a third sub-area when viewed from a second direction. The second sub-areas of the two groups partially overlap each other when viewed from the second direction. The method includes preparing the base, and supplying the liquid materials of the predetermined colors onto the base in the form of the droplets by ejecting the droplets by the droplet ejection apparatus while mutually moving the base and the head unit in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 8201477
Abstract: A bicycle component operating device is basically provided with a rider operating member, a ratchet member, a positioning pawl and a winding pawl. The ratchet member is rotatably mounted about a pivot axis. The positioning pawl prevents rotation of the ratchet member in a releasing direction when the positioning pawl is in a holding position. The positioning pawl releases the ratchet member for rotation in the releasing direction in response to a releasing operation of the rider operating member. The winding pawl rotates the ratchet member in a winding direction in response to a winding operation of the rider operating member. The winding pawl contacts the positioning pawl and moves the positioning pawl radially outward relative to the pivot axis as the winding pawl moves radially outward relative to the pivot axis in response to the releasing operation.

  • Patent number: 8201896
Abstract: A vehicle brake apparatus has a wheel cylinder that generates a braking force when a pump is rotated in a first direction and does not generate the braking force when the pump is rotated in a second direction. A brake control section operates a valve to open a channel between the pump and the wheel cylinder and rotates the pump in the first direction to increase the braking force in accordance with a driver braking operation. The brake control section operates the valve to close the channel between the pump and the wheel cylinder to maintain the braking force in accordance with the driver braking operation. The brake control section rotates the pump in the second direction when the driver braking operation is not performed. The diagnosis section detects a rotation state of the pump while the pump rotates in the second direction to diagnose abnormalities in the pump.

  • Patent number: 8197111
Abstract: A light emitting device includes an excitation light source that emits excitation light, a wavelength conversion member, a light guide, and a light guide distal end member. The wavelength conversion member absorbs the excitation light emitted from the excitation light source, converts its wavelength, and releases light of a predetermined wavelength band. The light guide in which the center part (core) of its cross section has a refractive index that is higher than the refractive index of the peripheral portion (cladding) guides the excitation light emitted from the excitation light source to the wavelength conversion member. The light guide distal end member supports a distal end of the light guide on the wavelength conversion member side. The light guide distal end member is formed from a material that reflects the excitation light and/or the light that has undergone wavelength conversion.
