Abstract: One embodiment of an occupant propelled roundabout (“roundabout”) may have a body. The roundabout may also have a carrier, which may be rotatably carried by the body and may also have a seat assembly adapted to carry an occupant. In addition, the roundabout may also have a drive mechanism pivotally coupled to the seat assembly such that the drive mechanism may be movable between a deployed position and a retracted position. The drive mechanism may be moved toward the deployed position in response to the occupant operating the drive mechanism. Also, the roundabout may have a biasing member, which may be operably connected between the drive mechanism and the carrier so that the biasing member may move the drive mechanism toward the retracted position.

Abstract: A holder for a handheld device such as a smartphone or personal digital assistant (PDA) worn securely on a wrist, that allows the device to selectively rotate to a plurality of desired positions while remaining on the wrist. The holder has a protective shell case rotatably connected to a wrist strap by a pair of interlocking assemblies. In a first embodiment, a spring assembly with a pair of tabs on the wrist strap connects to a socket assembly attached to the shell case. In a further embodiment, the socket assembly on the strap connects to the spring assembly on the case. The shell case holds the device, allowing a user to directly access and use the device single-handedly when worn on the wrist. The device rotates between portrait and landscape positions by grasping the shell case and twisting, and detaches quickly by squeezing the tabs, disengaging the interlocking assemblies.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for boring a dimple within a block of cue tip chalk. The apparatus includes a platform having an opening fully protruding therethrough. The apparatus also includes a column having an upper end and a lower end. The lower end includes a blade. The column is disposed within the opening substantially perpendicular to the platform. Upon application of a force on the upper end, the column moves with respect to the platform in a direction substantially perpendicular to the platform. The blade is configured to bore the dimple. The column is coupled to a spring biased to maintain the column in a position the column was in prior to the application of the force. The apparatus further includes a means for controlling an extent of movement of the column in the direction.

Abstract: A system and method for playing fantasy sports that replicates league competition for an individual user by competing in a simulated league against a plurality of system-generated teams, followed by competing in an elimination round and a plurality of tournament rounds against other users. The user can field more than one team, but each team competes in a different system-generated simulated league. The user selectively drafts a roster based on real players in a sport and the system randomly generates a plurality of rosters to complete a league schedule congruent with the sport season. At the conclusion of the schedule, at least a designated percentage of users having the best win record compete in a pool against each other in an elimination round. A plurality of top scoring users in the elimination round win a berth in a championship tournament using single elimination rounds to determine a champion.

Abstract: A fabric flap for attaching to an infant garment such that the flap is within reach of an infant at all times, so that the infant can grasp the flap in a hand, particularly when the infant flails about while crying. The flap is a comfort object that sooths and comforts the infant, replacing a security blanket or other type of lovey. With the flap, the infant can touch a cheek and a chin, but the flap cannot reach and block a nose or a mouth, removing the threat of suffocation. The infant can freely move an arm holding the flap. The flap attaches to a one-piece garment that extends over an infant torso to a crotch, the crotch of the garment selectively fastened closed. In a further embodiment, the flap attaches to a torso harness that extends from the neck to the fastened closed crotch.

Abstract: A putter golf club that resists twisting by increasing the rotational inertia of the golf club to the maximum degree possible by distributing mass away from the center of mass of the putter, and thereby expands the sweet spot of the putter. Rotational inertia is maximized via use of a heel control wing and a toe control wing extending rearwardly and outwardly from a striking face of the putter as well as a tail rod extending perpendicularly from striking face. Further increase of rotational inertia is accomplished via s symmetrical recesses incorporated into heel and toe control wing.

Abstract: A reversible, seamless article of clothing and a system for constructing reversible seamless garments and accessories by assembling and attaching a plurality of reversible and interchangeable panels of the article of clothing with a plurality of fasteners. The panel elements have a plurality of edges with a plurality of buttonholes adjacent to the edges. The fasteners are elastomeric two-headed button studs. The panel elements are attached by matching the buttonholes of the elements to form the article of clothing and inserting the studs into the buttonholes to fasten the panel elements. A plurality of trim elements have buttonholes adjacent to the edges and can be attached to the article of clothing by inserting the stud into a trim buttonhole and a buttonhole on the garment. With the system of construction using reversible elements with buttonholes and stud fasteners, accessories, such as tote bags and watch bracelets, can be constructed.

The fan is powered by an external rotor brushless direct current (BLDC) motor having an electronic controller positioned away from the BLDC on an outer shroud wall with a plurality of ducts drawing an airflow from a static lower pressure created by the impeller, the airflow streaming over a heat sink disposed on the controller, exiting through a shroud. The static lower pressure air is pulled by a centrifugal fan and skewed magnets inside the motor through a plurality of ducts in a shroud hub, cooling the BLDC, maintaining low resistance for high efficiency. The BLDC is integrated into the assembly, having a stator fixed in the shroud hub and a rotor directly fused to the impeller, the shroud and impeller forming the BLDC motor without a housing, allowing the motor to easily dissipate heat.

Abstract: A mixing drill stand, for supporting a mixing drill having a mixing drill bit perpendicularly above a ground surface. The stand includes a rear panel and a pair of side panels that selectively fold substantially flat, and selectively deploy where the side panels extend substantially perpendicular to the rear panel, and support a drill support assembly in a horizontal position with respect to the ground surface. The drill support assembly has a central opening through which the mixing drill bit extends toward the ground surface while the mixing drill is supported by the drill support assembly.

Abstract: A multimedia system for teaching how to play a harmonica and other musical instruments that graphically indicates a note to be sounded by using a letter symbol pointing to a hole on the harmonica. The symbol graphically indicates when to blow, when to draw, when to hold the note and when to use a slide when playing the note by using a plurality of graphical display modes and sounding the note in a correct manner. The system graphically cues a next note by displaying an indicator over the hole for the next note while pointing with the symbol to the currently played note. A display scrolls a plurality of tablature for the melody. The system runs on a cross-channel multimedia player on a plurality of operating systems that allows a sequence of notes to be selectively looped repeatedly, speeding up or slowing down the playing of a note sequence.

Abstract: An automatic pool level controller that maintains a water level water in a swimming pool to protect the pool both from a low water level and from overflow conditions that disable pool equipment from operating. The controller monitors water level with a plurality of adjustable conducting sensors that connect to a plurality of relays that control a plurality of switches and a solenoid valve to automatically add water to the pool when the water level falls below the desired level, and halt addition of water when the desired level is achieved, automatically turning on a pump to expel water to reduce the water level, and automatically turning a pump off to halt the discharge of water when the water is reduced to the desired level, maintaining the water level sufficient for operating pool equipment. The controller has an immersible sensor board, a submersible pump and runs on household current.

Abstract: A sighting device, for use by a golfer while standing on a ground surface and gazing at a golf ball upon the ground surface at a natural viewing angle, and hitting the golf ball. The device has a stand which includes a base for resting on the ground surface in front of the golfer, and a vertical mast. A pair of rings are suspended by the vertical mast in the path of the natural viewing angle. The rings have alignment indicia. Accordingly, the golfer observes the golf ball through the rings with both rings are concentric with the golf ball, and the alignment indicia of both rings are arranged in a straight line. Any movement of the golfer's head during the golf swing is immediately revealed to the golfer by a change in relative position between the rings and ball, and the alignment indicia deviating from a straight line.

Abstract: A gaming chip counter, for use counting a plurality of gaming chips, each gaming chip have a known predetermined weight. The gaming chip counter has a housing having a top surface, a front, rear, and sides, with digital total displays thereupon. A plurality of counting elements are located on the top surface arranged in counting zones. For each counting zone, a denomination setting system allows the user to establish a currently set denomination. When chips are stacked upon the counting elements in each counting zone, a zone value is determined by weighing the gaming chips thereupon. A total chip value is determined by summation of the zone values, and displayed on the total displays in real time.

Abstract: A sleeve for storing a Y-shaped cord without tangling and a method of managing a Y-shaped cord by grouping a plurality of the cord loose ends in the sleeve, each into a separate portion, forming a closed loop. The sleeve is triangular-shaped, having a conical sidewall with an open top end and an open bottom end. Inside the sleeve, the ends of the cord are separated by at least one fastener. The closed loop makes it less likely that the cord will tangle with other objects or with itself. If the cord does tangle when in the closed loop, the topology of the closed loop makes untangling the cord simpler and quicker than if the ends were loose. When using the Y-cord, the sleeve remains on the cord, not interfering with the cord functioning and not easily lost.

Abstract: A bed sheet attachment system with a pair of expansion panel assemblies that attaches a top cover to a bottom sheet by a plurality of panel strips connected by a plurality of fastener strips. The fastener strips are prevented from opening during sleep by a plurality of snap tabs. The plurality of panel strips provides increased cubic capacity between the top cover and bottom sheet for the sleeper to slip into and move within the bed. The plurality of snap tabs allows the panel strips to be separated at discrete lengths to accommodate the sleeper's needs and desires for the arrangement of the top cover during sleep. The bed sheet attachment system simplifies the daily making of the bed by maintaining the proper position of the top cover during sleep so that the user merely smoothes out the wrinkles on the top cover upon arising.
