Abstract: A grass treatment unit with an adjustable hood for use with various grass treatment inserts of different diameter for verticutting, scarifying, etc. An open topped bearing socket is provided for mounting the grass treatment insert for rotation. A hood is mounted on a slide for spacing the hood in a selected position with respect to the grass treatment insert. The grass treatment insert has a shaft with ball bearings on opposite ends which are housed within a bearing housing. A handle is provided on the bearing housing for lifting the grass treatment insert.

Abstract: A scrubber for lap siding with a profile complementary to the profile of the boards in the lap siding such that when the scrubber is moved side to side in a washing action, an exposed side face and under surface of the siding boards are effectively scrubbed and dirt, dust, mildew, mold and algae are effectively removed.

Abstract: A topical anesthetic for dental procedures is provided containing about 3 wt % to 10 wt % tetracaine in a vehicle suitable for administration to the oral mucosa. The vehicle for transporting the tetracaine includes a water soluble mucoadhesive or a combination of mucoadhesives such as a high molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide) homopolymer and a cellulose polymer. The vehicle may additionally include a penetration enhancer such as propylene glycol. The tetracaine is ground into a powder and is suspended in a plasticized hydrocarbon gel which completes the vehicle.

Abstract: A system to allow employers to monitor employee handwashing or hand sanitization compliance in a facility with a plurality of touchless dispensers for metering a cleanser, disinfectant or lotion on the hands of a user. A detector associated with each dispenser triggers operation of the dispensing mechanism and sends a signal to a local controller which date and time stamps the dispensing act. The controller sends a report to a central computer which identifies the dispenser and the date and time of each dispensing act. The reports from the several dispensers is stored in a database for management review. On receipt of a signal from the detector, the controller may also trigger operation of a preferably touchless input device to identify the user. Data collected by the input device is relayed to the central computer through the controller. The central computer is programmed with an algorithm for matching the data collected by the input device with data previously collected and identified with the user.

Abstract: A cable release for use in a curtain control system for controlling drop curtains in a livestock confinement building. The cable release operates with cable drop devices having a cord release. A U-shaped segment of a main cable attached to the drop curtains is held in tension by an anchor with a latch operated by a lock handle attached to the cord of the cable drop device. The curtains are dropped when the cord is released by the cable drop device and U-shaped segment is released from anchor.

Abstract: A sustainable closed loop system with zero waste for cogeneration of electric and thermal energy using woodfuel from a closeby energy plantation of quick growing trees such as Gliricidia Sepium. In addition to the energy plantation sub-system, the system includes a biomass fuel preparing sub-system and a steam and power generation sub-system for use with a biological wastewater treatment sub-system. No chemicals are used for wastewater treatment.

Abstract: A grass treatment unit for various greens grooming practices for replacement of a cutting head on a walk behind greensmower. An adapter is provided for mounting the grass treatment unit on the walk behind greensmower and another adapter is provided for connecting the grass treatment unit to the power source previously used by the cutting head.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus provided in the form of a bulb for use in a solar lantern or other electrical device. The lighting apparatus includes a hollow light guide with a light reflective layer on the inside. A first and second light source such as an array of LEDs, LECs, etc. is positioned at opposite ends of the hollow light guide such the light emitted by the light sources is directed through the light guide between the inner and outer sidewalls thereof. The first and second light source are connected to a power source such as a battery.

Abstract: A divot mix dispenser having an annular body sized to mate with a holder mounted to a golf cart. The body includes a spout located at the upper end of the body with the spout having an opening offset from a centerline of the container through which the divot mix flows out of the dispenser. The lower end of the body defines an inlet for removable attachment with a cap so that the cap can be removed to fill the dispenser with divot mix and attached to secure the divot mix within the dispenser.

Abstract: A reusable trailer mounted attenuator with a collapsible scissor frame assembly supported by front, intermediate and rear vertical frames. A self-adjusting shock absorber with staged metering is attached to the scissor frame assembly and controls its collapse under impact in a manner that deceleration of an impacting vehicle does not exceed permitted rates irrespective of the weight and speed of the impacting vehicle within the design range. Guides are provided to permit the scissor frame assembly to collapse without twisting and a replaceable strike plate with vertical fins concealed with a cover plate is attached to the rear vertical frame.

Abstract: An easily detachable golf bag carrier for a motorcycle has a platform detachably mountable on a specialized foot peg and a cradle detachably mountable on a fastening rail, all of which are preferably chromed. The foot peg has a tongue and a frame with a slot within which a coupling end of the platform may be pinned. The tongue is adapted to mate with existing foot peg mounting brackets on the motorcycle. The fastening rail has mounting holes adapted to mate with existing fender holes in a motorcycle and the cradle has an arcuate arm for embracing a golf bag which is placed on an accessory end of the platform. The fastening rail and cradle have male and female mating members. The platform and cradle may be easily detached and stored, for example in a saddlebag, and the specialized foot peg and mounting rail left in place without detracting from the motorcycle's functionality or appearance.

Abstract: A comprehensive organizational system for managing medical records for an individual patient and a method for managing the dispensation of multiple medications. The method includes a set of symbols indicating the time of day the medication should be administered in accordance with the prescription instructions and a storage system for duplicate prescription labels corresponding to the prescription labels on the prescription containers. The dosage schedule and amount are translated into the symbols which are applied to each duplicate prescription label. Medications are dispensed to the patient in accordance with the symbols applied to the duplicate prescription labels.

Abstract: A laundry chute for attachment to the brackets supporting a handrail in a stairway without affecting use of the handrail or foot traffic on the stairway. The chute is formed of sections suspended from the brackets on supports that permit the angle of the chute to be adjusted such that dirty clothes slide more readily down the chute into a laundry basket below. The chute sections can be linked end-to-end and packaged for storage, transport and store display in a compact stacked or nested form. The laundry chute is easy to install, easy to remove and facilitates compliance with the house rule that there be no dirty laundry on the bathroom and bedroom floors.
