Abstract: A new and improved polymerization inhibitor composition, its method of manufacture, and its use in stabilizing the distillation of acrylic acid is made possible by the pre-oxygen-activation of N-nitrosophenylhydroxylamine in combination with hydroquinone mono-methyl-ether (often referred to as p-methoxyphenol) whereupon a synergistic performance of these components is disclosed.

Abstract: An improved method for the manufacture of a substituted 1,4-dihydro-4-oxopyridazine which comprises the step of reacting a glyoxyclic acid halide phenylhydrazone with 3-pyrrolidinyl-2-alkenoic acid ester.
Abstract: A granular pharmaceutical composition containing 85 to 99 percent ibuprofen, 0.9 to 15.0 percent binder, and 0.1 to 5.0 percent polyvinylpyrrolidone, wherein the polyvinylpyrrolidone forms a film with a portion of said binder to form agglomerates, is disclosed. Ibuprofen may be fluidized with a portion of the binder in a fluid bed apparatus and sprayed with an aqueous dispersion of polyvinylpyrrolidone and the remainder of the binder. This granulation may be subsequently blended with additional excipients and, optionally, additional active pharmaceutical ingredients for direct compression into tablets.
Abstract: The ethanolamine salt of N-nitrosophenylhydroxylamine ("NPHA") is effective as a polymerization inhibitor for ethylenically unsaturated monomers. The ethanolamine salt can be prepared by reacting ethanolamine with the ammonium salt of NPHA. Advantageously, the ethanolamine salt is soluble in high concentrations in water and a variety of polar organic solvents.
