Abstract: A portable electrochemical power supply for handheld electronic devices, such as cellular telephones, is disclosed. The power supply includes a housing with an electrical connector, a circuit board, and a removable electrochemical cell disposed therein. The circuit board carries power supply circuitry which receives electrical energy from the electrochemical cell and provides a power supply output for powering an external device.
Abstract: A lighting device (30) having a housing (12) which includes a lamp means, a battery housing to receive at least one battery and a switch means to open and close a circuit between said lamp means and terminals of said at least one battery when located in said housing. Said lighting device includes a lanyard (110, 112) attached to said housing (12) characterised by said lanyard having a proximal end attached to said housing (12) and a distal end, whereby said distal end or a portion of said lanyard (110, 112) is adapted to be releasably attached to said housing (12).

Abstract: A lighting device (10) is provided which uses multiple LEDs to illuminate a target area. The lighting device includes first and second light emitting diodes (24, 26) spaced apart from each other. A first convex magnifier lens (34) is arranged in a light path of the first light emitting diode (24) for focusing light onto a target area. A second convex magnifier lens (36) is arranged in a light path of the second light emitting diode (26) for focusing light onto the same target area. The first and second magnifier lenses (34, 36) are supported relative to the first and second light emitting diodes (24, 26), respectively, by a cover (32).
