Abstract: A device for use in combination with a pile driving apparatus for driving piles into the ground. The device (1) including a main body (13) which carries side grippers (18) and (19) each of which comprises a ram consisting of a piston and cylinder (20). A further gripper (23) is included, which extends downwardly of the main body (13) which grips the lower end of a pile, while grippers (18) and (19) are used to pick up and position a pile. A vibratory force generator (16) is operated to cause the main body (13) to vibrate thereby applying a downward vibrating force to the main body (13) and the pile held by the grippers (18, 19, 23), so driving the pile into the ground.
Abstract: A multiple-piece seal is used for a cure oven circulating fan. The seal may be readily positioned along the length of the shaft to control the small clearance between the rotating seal and the oven such that there is no contact between the seal and the oven, but the flow of heated air from the oven is substantially reduced and redirected away from the bearings of the circulating fan. The multiple-piece design permits seal replacement without having to disassemble the shaft, so that the seal may be replaced entirely from the outside of the oven, saving substantial down-time.
Abstract: A cord drive has two cords mounted on two spools. Pulling the first cord unwraps the first cord from the first spool, causes a drive shaft to rotate in one direction, and causes the second cord to wrap onto the second spool. Pulling the second cord unwraps the second cord from the second spool, causes the drive shaft to rotate in the opposite direction, and causes the first cord to wrap onto the first spool.
Abstract: A modular blind transport system for a window blind application. The complete system may be assembled form a relatively small number of individual modules to obtain working systems for a very wide range of applications, including especially a category of counterbalanced blinds wherein a relatively small external input force may be used to raise or lower the blind, and/or to open or close the blind.

Abstract: A clamp assembly has a separate and independent clamp stand base, such that several clamp stand bases may be mounted on desired surfaces at various locations, and the clamp may be moved from one clamp stand base to another for quick and easy mounting at the different locations, and to minimize the number of clamps required to service of all of these different locations. The assembly permits the position of the clamp to be adjusted relative to the stand by pivoting and by raising and lowering the clamp relative to the base.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a sulky includes a removable, adjustable foot platform, replaceable axles, and a hitch including stops that limit the extent of pitch, roll, and yaw motions between the sulky and the towing vehicle. A preferred embodiment also includes damping of motion in the yaw direction to reduce jerkiness in the ride.
Abstract: A saddle for a vehicle lift provides a flip-up bracket and a body portion that mates with an insert, with the flip-up bracket overlying the body portion when the flip-up bracket is in its extended position.
Abstract: A cable lift includes a platform supported on posts and raised and lowered by cables. Yoke ends support the platform on the posts by means of dogs which project into openings in latch plates on said posts. The dogs are retracted in order to lower the platform. In the event of a slack cable condition, a slack cable actuator moves the dogs back into contact with the latch plates.
