Abstract: This invention concerns a heating pipe for panel heaters disclosed on walls, ceilings or floors to heat a room. The pipe is essentially constructed of a pipe itself, an electric heating wire running through it and aluminum granules stuffed between the two. Because of the simple structure, the production, the installment and the maintenance costs are cheap; as a matter of course, there is no additional need of a circulation pump for heating media and safety devices to watch the leak of heating media or the break of the pipe. Moreover, because spherical aluminum granules are closely packed, the heat conductivity is very good, which minimizes the heat loss and reduces the time to heat up a room. Also, the heat capacity is so small that frequency room temperature control by means of an automatic on-and-off mechanism has becomes possible.

Abstract: This patent presents a method of operating an apparatus and the apparatus which is a pneumatically operated fluid pump including a compressed air driven blow chamber which forces fluid into a collecting and measuring means that is emptied via siphoning techniques to control a blow and flood regulator responsive to the weight of the collected fluid.

Abstract: This invention concerns an elevator provided with an elastic member. The elastic member, by and large triangular in cross section, is attached to every exit of an elevator: an end of each floor inside a vertical path in which a cage ascends and descends or a floor end of a cage so as to stuff a gap at every exit. Therefore, even if passengers carelessly drop their small article, it is prevented from escaping from the gap. Other than that, women's high heels and children's shoes are prevented from getting into it; likewise, the wheels of loaded trucks do not get into it. The elastic member, designed to be a shock absorber, gives a cage no substantial shock even when the cage strikes against it a little.

Abstract: A probe for the continuous measurement of the thickness of strips of electrically conducting, magnetic or nonmagnetic strips of material, comprises a the measuring pole (7) arranged in a roller (4) with a narrow running surface. The roller (4) has a ring-shaped crowned middle part (9) in alignment with the measuring pole (7) and is pivoted on a fixed axis of rotation (10) on both sides of the measuring pole (7). The axis of rotation (10) forms part of a housing (12) which screens the measuring pole (7) against external magnetic fields. The roller (4) can consist of a suitable nonmagnetic material, such as nonmagnetic steel, bronze, titanium, ceramic, etc., and the probe can operate according to the magnetic inductive process, according to the eddy current process or according to a combination of these two processes.

Abstract: A magnetizing device for generating magnetic poles of alternating polarity in a magnetic body includes a supporting plate of electrically insulating material having a surface formed to closely conform with the surface of the magnetic body and an electrically conductive array of low electrical resistivity which includes magnetized sections of wire, or rod, recessed in the insulating plate and positioned in such a manner as to generate the desired magnetic poles in a magnetic body when supported by the plate when the array is subjected to a high-intensity unidirectional current, the array also including cooling sections of wire, or rod, twisted in the form of a double helix, interspersed between the magnetizing sections and disposed away from the magnetic body. The electrical array may be formed by a series of short lengths of wire, or rods, the respective ends of the short lengths being twisted together to form the cooling sections.

Abstract: The present invention concerns devices with probes for measuring magnetic potentials. Potential differences between two points of a material in a magnetic field are measured with a plurality of Hall probes arranged on a curved line which connects the points. The voltage of each Hall probe is connected with the summation point of an operational amplifier whose output voltage is proportional to the potential difference P=.intg.H.multidot.ds. A similar arrangement may also be used to measure the current in a conductor.

Abstract: A programmable tone decoder for standard bell system DTMF tone pairs is presented which comprises an integrated DTMF receiver and a means for programming a sequence of digits which are compared to the output of the DTMF receiver. The decoding means provides an output for an exact comparison of the complete sequence, the output being indicative of the reception of a proper telephone code sequence.

Roaster control means are provided to terminate the roasting process by quenching the beans and oven chamber while maintaining the beans in a fluidized bed to avoid scorching or further roasting by the residual heat of the coffee bean mass.

Abstract: A paging encoder including a microcomputer having a look-up table containing code formats for the more popular paging systems and an energy conservation means whereby the microcomputer is maintained in an off state except when called upon to perform an encoding function by a keyboard input means. This is accomplished by a microcomputer programmed to contain a lookup table including tone and space data for a plurality of paging formats and routines for converting input data, such as a telephone number, to a tone and space code for a selected one of said paging formats as programmed by a selection means which alters the function of the microcomputer to cause it to provide the desired output tone and space codes in accordance with the selected paging format.

Abstract: A wire form shape is presented which may be used in the manufacture of a fishing lure as both a line tie means and a hook attachment means. The wire form includes a 270.degree. loop at one end which cooperates with assembly locating pins within a fishing lure body and a 180.degree. loop near the other end of the wire which forms a means to suspend hooks or tie a line.

Abstract: A fishing lure and method of fabrication is presented wherein the lure is comprised of a central core which includes hook hangers, leader connection means and a depth controlling weight. The central core is surrounded by an image of the bait being duplicated by the fishing lure and that assembly is encased in a clear plastic shell which includes lenses formed within the plastic material to create a life-like visual impression of various portions of the bait such as eyes, fins and gills.

Abstract: An automatic radio telephone encoder/decoder including a microcomputer programmed to decode incoming dial codes and generate outgoing radio telephone functions and dial codes in response to received signals or keypad activation is presented in combination with control circuitry activated by the microcomputer which is maintained in an off condition except when called upon to perform encoding or decoding functions by a keyboard input means or signals received by the radio telephone.

Abstract: An electronic metronome is presented which utilizes a microcomputer adapted to permit precise selection of a beat frequency via a digital keyboard or alternately by way of a stop watch timer which measures an interval between first and second beats activated by the metronome operator and causes the metronome to duplicate the beat frequency timing thus measured. The device has the added capability of providing a selected one of a plurality of tones for pitch comparison and providing a stop watch function via a digital indicating panel which serves the dual function of indicating selected beat frequency during normal metronome functions.

Abstract: A vacuum apparatus which may be supported by a tractor-lawn mower combination and which includes a collection bin and a vacuum producing impeller driven by a hydraulic motor for collecting grass clippings, leaves and similar refuse is presented herein. Abstract: A tone decoder for the sixteen standard Bell System DTMF tone pairs is presented which is comprised of first and second tone detectors adapted to provide logic signals in response to detection of predetermined frequencies. The logic signals are processed by a counter which is incremented by simultaneous logic signals from the first and second tone detectors and which controls a switch adapted to change the frequencies to which the tone detectors are responsive.
