Abstract: A bridle bit including a bit member having its outer ends coupled to a pair of bow-shaped connector members journaled to the shafts of a pair of rein lever members to permit free pivotal and elevational movement of the bit member in the horse's mouth. The bow-shaped members are connected to sleeves journaled on the rein lever shafts and are adapted to be vertically adjusted on the shaft and retained in the adjusted positions by the corresponding placement of tubular spacer members on the shaft, either above or below the journal sleeves. The bit member further includes detachable weights at the outer ends of the bit member to permit the bit member to assume different positions in the horse's mouth.

Abstract: A tool for inserting an elongated repair plug into an injury hole of a tire wall, especially from the interior of the tire, including a barrel having a receiving chamber and a nozzle projecting from the discharge end of the barrel, and a ram member having a plunger axially receivable within the receiving chamber for forcing a repair plug through the barrel and the nozzle when the nozzle is inserted through the injury hole. The rear end of the barrel and the ram member are provided with interlocking members for holding the ram member against rotational movement about the longitudinal axis of the barrel in a locking position in order to permit the nozzle, not only to be inserted axially through the injury hole, but also to be simultaneously rotated with the ram member.

Abstract: A trigger mechanism for a semi-automatic rifle in which a latch-disconnector hook member is mounted on the trigger member for engaging a catch on the transfer bar to temporarily hold the transfer bar down while the trigger is pulled and after the transfer bar has been depressed and thrust rearward by the rearward movement of the cocking lever to ensure the cocking of the firing pin as the bolt carrier moves over the transfer bar.

Abstract: A shoulder-fired semi-automatic rifle including an elongated housing, a barrel projecting forward from the housing, a bolt mechanism within the housing including a firing pin having a sear mechanism and a magazine depending from the housing and cooperating with the bolt mechanism. A shoulder seat depends from the housing immediately behind the magazine and is spaced substantially forward of the rear end of the housing. The trigger and trigger hand grip are mounted forward of the magazine. The trigger, spaced substantially in front of the sear mechanism, is connected to the sear mechanism through an elongated link member. A front hand grip also depends from the front portion of the housing in front of the trigger. The housing may also be provided with an upward projecting carrying handle located above the center of gravity of the rifle, when extending longitudinally horizontal.

Abstract: A shower head dispenser including a shower head mounted to discharge a water spray along a declining axis, a reservoir mounted on top of the shower head and having a discharge port immediately adjacent and alongside the spray outlet of the shower head and a mixer surface immediately below the discharge port, spaced from and parallel to the longitudinal spray axis of the shower head and disposed adjacent the periphery of the spray discharging from the shower head, so that the water spray from the shower head contacting the mixer surface mixes with any liquid, such as liquid soap, which has been discharged from the discharge port and adheres to the mixer surface.

Abstract: A display case extender adapted to be mounted upon and in front of the front case wall of an existing refrigerated grocery case, including a display bin for displaying groceries in front of the grocery case and an air intake duct system for drawing cool air from the refrigerated case behind the front case wall to a discharge outlet for discharging cool air at the rear and above the display bin, and an exhaust duct system for drawing the warmer air from the front of the display bin back across the front case wall to a return air intake in the front case wall.

Abstract: A signal light system for an automotive vehicle including a lamp housing in which is mounted an amber warning lamp and a red warning lamp for support on the rear portion of the vehicle. The system further includes an accelerator pedal housing supporting an accelerator switch member within the housing and adjacent the pedal tread. The accelerator pedal housing is mounted on an existing accelerator link arm in the automotive vehicle and the accelerator switch member is electrically connected between the existing ignition circuit and the amber warning light. The red warning light is connected into the existing brake switch circuit for illumination upon depression of the existing brake pedal.

Abstract: A bicycle case having a pair of hinged container sections having opposed upper and bottom chambers for receiving the partially disassembled parts of a bicycle. The bottom chamber includes a pair of parallel longitudinal support bars secured to the opposite end walls of the bottom container section and a pair of transverse support bars having their end portions clamped to and slidably supported upon the longitudinal support bars. One or more tie devices, each including a clamp device for securing the tie devices to a corresponding transverse support bar and including a tie or strap member, are positioned along either or both transverse support bars for securing the strap member to a portion of the bicycle frame mounted upon the support bars. The bicycle case is uniquely adapted for containing all of the partially disassembled parts of a mountain bike to facilitate transportation of the mountain bike.

Abstract: A protective enclosure for a backflow prevention device including a rectangular cover member having insulated top and side walls secured to a platform member to completely enclose the backflow prevention device. One of the side walls is provided with a drain opening adjacent the platform member and a closure member hinged above the drain opening and biased to a closed position. In large cover members, the side walls are sub-divided into removable side panels to facilitate access to the interior space within the cover member and also to facilitate assembly and disassembly.

Abstract: A dental mixer apparatus including an upright mixing chamber having an upper open end for receiving dental impression materials and a plunger member suspended coaxially upon an elongated rotary driven mixer shaft for vertical reciprocable movement between a lower operative position in which the plunger is received within the mixing chamber and an upper inoperative position above the mixing chamber. A rotary mixer head is driven by the mixer shaft below the mixing chamber for mixing the materials within the mixing chamber. A suction conduit is provided to suck air from the mixing chamber in order to minimize voids and bubbles within the mixed ingredients. The mixer shaft is supported by a support bracket which is pivotally mounted to permit the mixer shaft and plunger to swing away from their normal vertical position above the mixing chamber to provide more working space above the mixing chamber.

Abstract: A jumpsuit for controlled freefalling in which the suit is provided with enlarged expansible wing portions between the sleeve portions and the body portion of the jumpsuit and a wing extender line which extends from each hand of the wearer through each corresponding sleeve portion and inside the wing portion to the waist area of the jumpsuit, where both extender lines pass through a control member. The control member is provided with means for pulling both extender lines away from the suit in order to expand the wing portions when the arms are extended, and are also provided with latch means for latching the extender lines in the expanded positions. Moreover, the control member is further provided with means for rapidly unlatching the latch means to permit free passage of the extender lines back into the suit in order to allow the expansible wing portions to retract toward the wearer's armpits.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus having an upright support frame upon which is mounted an adjustably weighted pull cable, an exercise lever, a rotary hand crank assembly and a rotary pedal crank assembly, all spaced within reach of a person seated or standing in front of the upright support frame in a user station. The user station is particularly adapted to receive a detachable seat member for the user, or when detached, permits the reception of a conventional chair or wheelchair in which the user may sit to operate any one or all of the exercise devices on the upright support frame.

Abstract: A miniature golf game apparatus adapted to be used with a movable playing piece, such as a golf ball, and a stick member for propelling the playing piece, such as a golf stick or putter, including a mat having a playing surface upon which a plurality of separately directed golf course routes are displayed and a plurality of elongated bumper rails adapted to be assembled in a spaced end-to-end relationship around the mat to form side and corner pocket spaces between the bumper rails. Eack pocket space is enclosed by an outboard pocket or net member detachably secured to the opposite adjacent end portions of the bumper rails.

Abstract: An insulated roof support system including a plurality of transversely spaced longitudinally extending purlins having bottom flanges with insulation layers occupying the spaces between the purlins, a lattice work of transverse and longitudinal support straps extending beneath the insulation layers so that the transverse support straps extend beneath the bottom flanges of the purlins, a plurality of elongated channel-shaped support bars containing elongated insulation boards secured in flush engagement co-extensively against the bottom surface of each purlin bottom flange and the transverse straps crossing the purlins, to completely thermally insulate the roof structure including the purlins from the space below the roof structure.

Abstract: A water ski including a buoyant fore section and an elongated hollow, fluid aft chamber in fluid communication with rear ports in the rear end of the ski and air ports in the top surface of the fore section of the ski whereby the aft section of the ski is flooded when the ski is relatively stationary in the water to cause said ski to assume an upright position in the water and which chamber is rapidly purged of water when said ski is in forward motion to assume a balanced, substantially horizontal skiing position on the water.

Abstract: A semi-automatic rifle including a recoiling barrel adapted to carry rearward the elongated bolt carrier containing the bolt for compressing the recoil spring, and a self-unlocking device including a self-unlocking rod longitudinally slidably mounted on the bolt carrier normally engaging the rear face of the barrel in a battery position and a trigger actuating device for thrusting the self-unlocking rod forward during the early stage of recoil for separation of the bolt carrier from the barrel before the barrel reaches the end of its recoil movement.

Abstract: A yarn feed mechanism for a multiple needle tufting machine in which a plurality of yarn feed stub rolls are mounted on transversely spaced supports on the machine in such a manner that the stub rolls project in opposite directions from opposite sides of each support and have free ends which are spaced apart from the free ends of adjacent feed rolls to facilitate threading and unthreading the feed rolls. Each yarn feed support carries a plurality of first and second vertically spaced feed rolls on opposite sides of the support and each pair of coaxially aligned feed rolls are driven from a corresponding drive shaft adapted to be driven selectively at a high speed or a low speed.

Abstract: Repair plates particularly adapted for mending various surfaces of a vehicle tire in which a plate body is formed from an epoxy casting resin material which is stable at curing temperatures of at least 220 deg. F., and has a face surface having the same configuration as the area of the surface of the tire to be mended, and a perforated aluminum plate imbedded in the rear surface of the plate body.
