Abstract: A corrosion inhibiting agent is provided as a finely ground powder that is dispensed into a sheath or other casing enclosing a metal bar, cable, or other tension member. The agents are produced by preparing salts of amines with benzoic acid or nitric acid, drying the salts, and grinding and screening the salts to provide a desired maximum particle size. Also disclosed is a dry fogging process through which the powder is applied to metal tension members enclosed in polymeric sheaths or other fluid tight casings.
